Zehnder ComfoAir Flex: New ceiling-mounted dual-flow ventilation unit for homes with limited space

A compact format for a space-saving solution

Zehnder ComfoAir Flex was designed to offer a high-performance dual-flow ventilation solution for homes with limited space (T3 to T5 + apartments).
Its compact dimensions, notably its low height of only 299 mm (L 1068 x W 868 x H 299 mm) allow it to fit perfectly into false ceilings, in storage areas, corridors or bathrooms, for example. In combination with the Zehnder ComfoWell 320 silent air distribution box, the system occupies a maximum width of 880 mm.

Certified performance

With a maximum air flow of 350 m3/h, Zehnder ComfoAir Flex offers all the advantages of a dual-flow ventilation unit from the manufacturer:

• indoor air quality: it ensures constant air renewal without heat loss to keep the entire home healthy while continuously filtering the incoming air;
• energy savings thanks to low electrical consumption (energy class A+) and the energy efficiency performance of the heat recovery system from the extracted air to preheat the incoming air (87% heat recovery according to PHI and 98% according to standard NF-205);
• it constitutes a simple alternative solution to limit overheating of buildings and contribute to summer comfort thanks to the principle of coolness recovery

Durable components

To guarantee the long-term performance of the unit, Zehnder relies on innovative and durable components:

• Powerful but quiet eBM Pabst fans.
• A modulating, compact and patented by-pass in the form of a register.
• A durable unit over time: with its innovative design, the siphon, with its double connection, eliminates excess humidity. This prevents the growth of mold and bacteria and drains condensate to reduce the risk of leaks.
• A heat exchanger with an ingenious patented design to limit heat loss. Its large surface area and unique shape guarantee high levels of heat recovery.
• Integrated F7 filters as standard.
• Available as an option, the preheater is integrated directly into the ComfoAir Flex 350. The modulating preheater provides protection against frost by heating the outside air from 0°, before it enters the unit. By taking into account temperature, air flow and humidity, the power of this intelligent preheater adapts for a stable and constant insufflation temperature over time.

• right/left reversibility of the unit to adapt to the configurations of all construction sites, without constraints when ordering. This “reversible right/left” assembly ensures very practical flexibility for installers.
• 4 45° swivel elbows so each air connection can be rotated individually to connect to an air distribution network in line with the unit or at 90°.
• intelligent management of condensate evacuation by a double siphon which runs along the notch without increasing the width of the installation. The tilt integrated into the machine ensures the necessary angle of condensation drainage, without increasing the height.
• an integrated installation template, provided by the packaging of the Zehnder ComfoAir Flex.
• the Zehnder ComfoControl application which guides the installer through each step for commissioning and maintaining the unit.

Connectivity to simplify regulation and maintenance

Simple to configure, the ventilation unit, equipped with an integrated Wi-Fi module, easily connects to the home's Wi-Fi.

The Zehnder ComfoAir Flex dual-flow ventilation unit is controlled via the Zehnder ComfoControl application which allows it to operate even when you are absent. The Zehnder ComfoControl application allows both commissioning and control of the device, monitoring its performance with detailed information on energy consumption, definition of temperature profiles and assistance in the event of maintenance.
