Xavier Rodriguez, CEO of Jarnias, appointed vice-president of France Travaux sur Cordes

Having joined Jarnias in 2008 as a rope access technician, Xavier Rodriguez has perfect knowledge of the sector and works daily to move the lines of a profession that is in full swing, but still needs to structure itself. He rose through the ranks one by one within the company for 10 years before being named Managing Director. The Group works on the largest emblematic historic sites in France (Panthéon, Notre-Dame de Paris, Eiffel Tower) but also on industrial sites or even in the high mountains…

Drawing on his expertise in rope work, Xavier Rodriguez has just been appointed vice-president of France for rope work.

This choice was determined by his dynamism, his involvement, but also by his knowledge of business professions and trade union action.

Its ambition is to move the lines of the profession to become a driving force for this entire sector and these professions which still need to be structured.

For Xavier Rodriguez: “It is precisely because we do something outside the norm that we need standards. Standards and regulations designed for these professions. To secure them, monitor them and support them in their development. It's up to us to chart the course: that's what we want to do for this profession and this sector. »

His main missions within France Travaux sur Cordes are to participate in:

• the promotion and representation of the profession with the public authorities, prevention organizations and contracting authorities.
• improving safety and working conditions on rope access work sites.
• the development of technical and regulatory reference documents.
• communication and collaboration with all stakeholders (training centers, unions, companies, employees, etc.).

A mandate in which Xavier Rodriguez intends to invest himself with energy in order to advance the sector: “I have been given the chance to contribute to advancing the cordite sector which still needs recognition and to defend its uniqueness. I do not take any mandate lightly and am fully committed to each of my missions and functions, as CEO or union representative”.
