The combination of an exhibition space and a forum will allow visitors to discover the complete and varied offer of the sector, from upstream to downstream, and an exhaustive panorama of the latest advances in the European concrete market. in terms of products, technologies, processes, applications, materials, etc.
The World Of Concrete Europe, integrated into the Building, Civil Engineering and Concrete Industry cluster, will bring together 200 exhibitors, 2.000 visitors and 500 conference participants. All the key players in the European concrete industry will be at this benchmark event to create a platform for exchanges and promote the image of a universal, versatile and innovative material in the midst of environmental change.
Some large companies have already confirmed their presence, such as: 3R SCHNELL, AMOG SLR, BETONSTAR-HANSA, BLEND PLANTS, BONNEUX Machinery, BOSCH Béton France, CIFA, EUROMECC, EUROMIX MTP, EUROP'EQUIPEMENT, HANSA, IMER France, KRAFT CURING Systems, MAPEI, PL2M, PUTZMEISTER, SCHWING-STETTER, SELFBETON, SOMERO Enterprises, TEKA France…
The interior exhibition area
The entire concrete industry will be represented around a complete offer, from upstream to downstream:
- Concrete industry, other materials and equipment
- Installations and equipment for the production of concrete
- Plants and equipment for precast concrete
- Concrete materials
- Materials and equipment for special and decorative concretes
- Materials, delivery and implementation of ready-mixed concrete
- New technologies, services and engineering for concrete
- Circular economy of concrete
The Conference and Workshop Forum
Around the central theme of decarbonization, the World Of Concrete Europe Forum will present a cycle of educational conferences and didactic training workshops entirely devoted to the concrete sector, the material and its different applications.
The forum is organized by a steering committee made up of experts from the main professional organizations and organizations in the sector, such as CERIB, CIMbéton, FIB, École Française du Béton, France Ciment, UMGO-FFB, etc.
The sessions will be led by renowned speakers from the building, masonry, public works, etc. communities, members of construction federations and the largest European companies in the sector.
Through around ten conference sessions, six future themes for the material and its market were selected for reflection and debate:
- The challenges of decarbonization: ambitions and deadlines of the Climate Plan, the National Low Carbon Strategy, RE 2020, international labels, etc.
- The recipe for concrete to decarbonize: the clinker factor, new low-carbon binders, additions to concrete (slags, pozzolans, ternary cements, etc.), exemplary achievements in low-carbon concrete, etc.
- Low-carbon logistics: short circuits, freight, testimonials from cement players, ready-mixed concrete, prefabricated solutions, etc.
- The process: reduced energy consumption, new low-carbon cement production units, alternative fuels, industrial investments, low-temperature processes, etc.
- The circular economy: responsible sourcing, recycling, reuse, quarry redevelopment, production of recycled aggregates, recovery of spoil, feedback on site, etc.
- Innovations: formulations, the role of adjuvants for the use of low-carbon concrete, off-site construction methods and concrete prefabrication, modular construction, 3D printed concrete, etc.
INTERMAT Innovation Awards
The 9th edition of the INTERMAT Innovation Awards international competition will reward materials, techniques, services or products that contribute to the progress of the construction, infrastructure and materials industry in 5 categories corresponding to each of the 5 areas of expertise of the show , including the Building, Civil Engineering and Concrete Sector category. A special World of Concrete Europe prize will also be awarded to recognize a company offering innovation specific to the concrete market.
For Christophe Lecarpentier, director of the Agro Equipment and Construction Department, Comexposium: “New construction, renovation, public works, civil engineering, etc., the concrete sector plays a key role in sustainably developing territories and meeting the many challenges set out in the National Low Carbon Strategy. The 2024 edition of World Of Concrete Europe aims to bring together all its key players who are innovating on all fronts to limit the carbon footprint of construction. To debate it and engage in prospective reflections, emphasis will be placed on an educational program of conferences and workshops, defined by a steering committee made up of the main experts in the sector. Beyond a simple exhibition, we want to put into perspective the purposes for which concrete production and implementation equipment is intended and to constitute a unique platform for sharing and dialogue around the same vision. of environmental excellence. »
