With its new biosourced Rlite range, Rector strengthens its leadership in the decarbonization of buildings

To go further and better build sustainable, scalable buildings with reduced carbon impact, RECTOR is now offering its new eco-efficient range of slabs: Rlite.

Investments serving a low carbon offer

With an R&D team made up of around twenty experts, a laboratory and cutting-edge testing tools, RECTOR invests significant resources each year in the research and development of eco-designed solutions of the future. The company relies on the intelligence of prefabrication and the diversity of materials to support construction professionals. Year after year, RECTOR's low-carbon offering has been enriched, first with the Rectolight wooden and Rectoplast interjoists in recycled plastic, then thanks to the Cameleo slab floor system and the Rsoft low-carbon concrete offering.

Rlite, new eco-efficient range of very low carbon tiles

The Rlite floor range integrates biosourced blocks aimed at offering builders a more economical product thanks to slabs that are lighter in weight and with a lower carbon impact, making it possible to understand the future carbon thresholds of RE2020, while maintaining performance and the durability of the structure. Prefabricated in very low-carbon concrete, the Rlite slabs incorporate bio-sourced wood fiber insulating panels at the factory, spaced by reinforced concrete ribs.

They are intended for all floor levels (low, intermediate, high and roof terrace), for all types of structures and for all categories of importance of buildings, regular or not, in all seismic zones in mainland France.

As an example, for an Rlite slab 23 cm thick and 5,35 m long:

Biosourced mass/m²: 6,7 kg/m2
CO2 weight of the floor (with compression table): 38,6 kg CO2 eq / m2
Floor weight: 455 kg/m2

This new range of Rlite tiles is adapted to meet the requirements of tomorrow's sustainable housing standards and labels. It will soon be supplemented with an SPD slab compatible with the Caméléo slab floor system without load-bearing walls and in two directions of span.

The first player in the sector to have developed prefabricated low-carbon concrete systems, RECTOR is constantly transforming itself to support construction players in their environmental transition and improve their experience with new processes and products. Also proof of its commitment, RECTOR was the first player in the sector to obtain, last year, the CSR Engaged label from AFNOR, confirmed level.
