This competition, organized in partnership with the Association of Mayors of France and Presidents of Intercommunality, the French Building Federation, the Heritage Foundation, the National Federation of Caisses d'Epargne and the French Grouping of Monument Restoration Companies Historic, reward for municipalities and intermunicipalities that have carried out operations to restore or enhance their built heritage.
The winners have been chosen for the 31st edition of the “Heritage Ribbons” competition.
The regional juries and the national jury took into account the following criteria: interest and value of the heritage considered, aesthetic and architectural coherence, materials and organization of the site, quality of implementation, impact of these operations from a point of view social, economic, cultural, environmental and touristic, boldness of the operation and popular mobilization.
National awards
The national jury studied 22 applications submitted by regional juries, from among the 134 eligible applications received this year.
5 national prizes were awarded:
- National award for municipalities and inter-municipal structures with less than 3500 inhabitants
Lamazière-Basse (19) for the restoration of the Saint-Barthélemy church
- National award for municipalities and inter-municipal structures between 3500 and 20000 inhabitants
Cliff (14) for the restoration of the market halls
- National award for municipalities and inter-municipal structures with more than 20000 inhabitants
Intercommunal union of the Bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Ciboure (64) for the rehabilitation and extension of the Récollets convent
- Special Jury Award
Bourg-en-Bresse Basin Agglomeration Community (01) for the renovation and development of the Ferme de la Forêt in Courtes
- Special prize "territorial dynamism"
Aire-sur-la-Lys (62) for the conversion of the former Saint-Jean-Baptiste hospital into a cantonal social and cultural center
Regional awards
17 regional prizes were also awarded to municipalities whose files were selected by regional juries to compete at national level.
Departmental prices
47 departmental prizes were awarded this year by regional juries.
The regional and departmental award ceremonies will be organized locally by representatives of the five partners during the last half of 2025.
