Intended for general masonry work, the new weber eco-mortar incorporates 20% of production residues, recovered and recycled, has a reduced environmental impact (-35% CO2 emissions) and displays Origine France Garantie manufacturing favoring circuits- short. It has an individual FDES (Environmental and Health Declaration Sheet).
The exclusive formulation of weber eco mortar in fact uses, alongside traditional cement and sand, production residues from other mortars, which, if not recycled in this way, would end up in landfill. Weber has thus invested in adapting its industrial tool in Sorgues (84) in order to recover these residues and reintroduce them into the manufacture of weber eco mortar. In total, no less than 600 tons per year of production residues could thus be reinjected into the process, which in addition to limiting waste, also reduces the consumption of primary raw materials.
Compared to a traditional mortar (such as weber mortar), the production of weber eco mortar allows a 35% reduction in CO2 emissions. Weber also confirms its proximity approach and its desire to limit the carbon footprint linked to transport by offering this new eco-friendly product to the local market in the South-East of France.
It should be noted that the environmental performance of this latest addition to the GO TP range is coupled with optimal technical performance. Versatile, it can be used for masonry work, assembling blocks and bricks, filling holes or sealing posts, mailboxes, fences... Its low water absorption guarantees excellent durability.
“The development of weber eco mortar is the response to an environmental challenge as well as a market need. We followed a real eco-innovation approach and involved all the functions of the company in this project: industrial, EHS, R&D, marketing, sales, etc. » explains Steven Van Den Broecke, Head of the Structural Works range at Weber.
