Thus, after a satisfaction survey, Weber chose to supplement its wide range of products with a core range of sealants: 8 solutions which alone constitute 80% of market needs , and are aimed at both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
After having developed its self-service tiles and then masonry in the shops, enriched its expertise in adhesives with a new range dedicated to flexible floor coverings, Weber is further diversifying its offers, allowing it to be truly present at all stages of construction.
A simple and practical range
Based on the observation that the sealants market is proving to be “over-segmented” (with a plethora of products with very similar formulations but increasing the amount of packaging to occupy space in points of sale), Weber wished to take the opposite view and promote simplicity and efficiency, building on an immediate understanding of its range. The 8 solutions that the company has thus selected supply 80% of the sealants market.
This core range has the advantage of great convenience for traders who combine their multi-product order from the same supplier (especially since the capital of trust in Weber is very high), a real asset in terms of logistics. and saving time.
Always with a view to strengthening the concept of services, Weber has imagined an original format of ready-to-sell cardboard for each of the 8 references: simply cut out the top and place the box directly where you want in the point of sale, outside the dedicated department to play the impulse purchase or, on the contrary, within an area where the purchase will be facilitated by the complementarity (the tile mastics in the space dedicated to the tiling). Exit the tedious shelving step!
8 essential products
Weber first presents 3 silicones, all in 300 ml cartridges: weberseal tile is intended for tiling, weberseal sanitary for sanitary and weberseal construction for buildings in general. Neutral, weberseal tile can be used on tiling (to make connection joints between wall and bathtub or shower tray, waterproof joints in wet rooms) but also on concrete and wood surfaces. Rich in 7 unalterable colors very resistant to UV, it remains insensitive to mold.
With the same technical performance, weberseal sanitary is an acetic silicone which proves to be extremely malleable, offering optimal adhesion to sanitary supports (for sealing joints between walls and sinks, between floors and toilets for example) and weberseal construction, with the SNJF label. Façade 25E, can be used on almost all substrates (common construction joints, glazing and connection joints, joints between PVC, metal profiles, treated wood and glass).
This new Weber range also includes an expansive foam, intended for filling cavities and conduits, for applications in static joints or for the installation and repair of ridge tiles. Available in 500 or 750 ml cartridges (manual and sprayable), weberfoam PU benefits from a high filling yield as well as great shape stability (no shrinkage or post-expansion). It provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
Finally, among the various sealants, weberseal MS stands out, whose formula proves to be particularly resistant to weathering and UV. Where other sealants require preparation of the support upstream, weberseal MS can be applied directly to any support, even slightly damp. It has many uses: sealing and bonding in the construction and metal industries, structural bonding in vibrating applications, repointing of floor joints, connection and expansion joints between window profiles and the wall ...
weberseal PU40, which has the SNJF Façade 25E label as weberseal construction, is suitable for bonding and the production of seals, adhering to a large number of materials, without the risk of tearing. Finally, weberseal roof tile is a highly elastic tile adhesive and weberseal acrylic, labeled SNJF 12,5P facade, recoverable after hardening, offers excellent adhesion to many porous materials and aluminum (joined to window sills , between plinth and wall, between masonry, etc.).
