An unusual installation: water VRVs
It is within the framework of a vast transformation project of the Montparnasse station district that SNCF Gares et Connexion proposed the rental of new commercial spaces in place of its old offices.
Multiburo, specialist in the rental of meeting rooms and coworking spaces, has set up shop in the largest commercial area of Montparnasse station. On 1 m², of the 600 m² of total area of the shopping mall, Multiburo offers:
- 11 meeting rooms
- 35 rental offices
- a coworking area that can accommodate up to 30 people.
It is the 27th Multiburo surface open in France, and the 3rd in a Paris station.
In its specifications concerning the installation of climatic comfort within its premises, a significant piece of equipment in view of its activity as renters of convivial spaces, Multiburo had the following requirements:
- Acoustic comfort essential for offering a quiet office rental service
- Individualized thermal comfort with remote thermostat
The entire Montparnasse train station commercial area is connected to a water loop, therefore in fact imposed on merchant takers. Outdoor installations are prohibited due to lack of space, and due to the heritage character of the building which is classified.
The recommendation of Erwan Mener, EMD Consulting (AMO) speaking for Multiburo, related to the installation of a Daikin water-cooled VRV connected to the water loop, an unusual installation and different from that favored by other traders from the station preferring a classic PAC system on a water loop.
Although never having recommended it until now, Erwan Mener was seduced by a similar installation visited in Seville, with plural advantages compared to a more classic system, in particular that of displaying an excellent comfort / recovery ratio. energy.
The Daikin water-cooled VRV combines performance and energy saving thanks to the plurality of many technologies such as the Inverter. In addition, the VRV eau groups only require a direct and short hydraulic network, whereas a traditional group would have asked to operate a connection behind each indoor terminal. The VRV installation proves to be simpler to carry out, with fewer constraints, and less costly in terms of implementation for the contracting authority.
The installer, Spie Industrie Tertiaire, therefore installed 5 water VRVs with 3 tubes RWEYQ10T9Y1B, the very compact groups of which are contained in a technical room.
Everyone stays in control of their thermal comfort
So that its customers can work in the atmosphere that suits them best, Multiburo wanted them to be able to choose the temperature of their workspace themselves.
The air is distributed in the different rooms thanks to 59 cassette units (600 x 600) distributed over the entire area. These cassettes allow individual air distribution, for optimal comfort and adapted to each customer.
42 MADOKA remote controls have been installed, bringing a design touch to the workspaces. Very instinctive, they are left at the disposal of customers who can regulate the temperature according to their needs.
Extremely low noise level
Wishing to offer its customers a calm and concentration-friendly working atmosphere, Multiburo turned to the Daikin brand to install very silent solutions. The direct expansion technology of the VRV system installed ensures a much lower noise level than an air / water heat pump system.
Daikin's VRV water solution therefore appeared to be the ideal solution, given its acoustic performance, for a coworking space.
Daikin and Multiburo are not their first collaboration: the Gare de Lyon and Saint Lazare areas have also been equipped with Daikin solutions.
