Thanks to Astria Metallic Paint, it offers owners quality pitches highlighting their vehicles.
A book in 3 acts
1 / Floor repair

The first step in renovating the room was to prepare the floor. A shallow hole had to be filled first before preparing the soil for painting. Owner Matt Coben took care of this repair himself with the quick-setting repair mortar - Mortier Coulable, a very easy-to-apply product. Simply add water and mix, then pour the product over the area to be repaired. The finishing is done using a trowel or a trowel.
“The product was very easy to mix, especially with the drill stirrer. The repair was done neatly and dried quickly ”says Matt Coben
For painting, the application was made by the company "Adean Flooring". It was first necessary to sand the surface, starting with the plugged hole. After sanding, the remaining small imperfections were repaired using the repair product Concrex® Retouche, a product as resistant as concrete.
2 / Application of the undercoat and the finishing paint
Among the 6 colors available, 2 colors have been chosen to echo the Toy Stor-age logo: the cobalt shade to mark the location of the vehicle and the pearl shade for the rest of the room. The next step was therefore to delimit these 2 spaces using the Masking Tape.
To apply the cobalt underlay, Matt Coben first mixed the resin canister and the hardener canister separately. He then poured the 2 products into the main container and mixed again to obtain a paint of uniform consistency. The undercoat was applied using a medium pile roller to the demarcated surface and dried for 16 hours. Once the paint has dried, the Masking Tape has been removed and a new one has been placed on the inside edges of the already painted surface to allow the pearl undercoat to be applied to the rest of the surface.

The application of the top coat is very similar to that of the undercoat. The two cans of resin and hardener are mixed independently and then mixed together in the main can. The metallic pigments are then added to the main container and all mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The paint must then be poured into a separating tank before being applied using a medium pile roller.
The color of the cobalt top coat is opaque white. During drying, it lightens to give a metal effect finish. It is recommended to leave to dry for 16 hours, however this time may vary depending on the ambient temperature. This process is the same for applying the pearl-colored topcoat.
"The metal effect floor paint is easy to apply and improves the luminosity of an exhibition box. It gives a small effect that directly attracts our customers and is easy to maintain"says Matt Coben, owner of the Toy Stor-age garage.

3 / Soil maintenance
Finally, the surface has been polished using Industrial Self-Polish Shampoo to preserve the shine of the paint, but also to facilitate maintenance.
The industrial cleaners of the Watco Protect range make it easy to maintain surfaces while retaining the shine of the floor as on the first day of application of the paint.
