Vizcab Campus: The first FREE learning ecosystem combining practical and technical knowledge on the carbon impact of materials!
This pioneering initiative offers a free learning ecosystem, combining practical and technical knowledge on the carbon impact of materials and calculation tools for building professionals.
Supported by reliable and up-to-date databases, the Vizcab Campus offers a first free access to the Vizcab platform, and provides all construction stakeholders with intuitive tools on decarbonization. Novices will be able to take their first steps on the subject of low-carbon, and the most expert will start to manage their decarbonization strategy.
Vizcab is thus strengthening the industry's capacity to meet growing regulatory requirements and sustainable development challenges. This is in line with Vizcab's mission, which, since its creation in 2015, has set itself the goal of putting the power of data science at the service of the decarbonization of buildings.
Comprehensive resources for an industry preparing to meet climate challenges
The Vizcab Campus is structured around three main pillars: Understand, Explore, Act, each designed to intuitively meet the needs of construction industry players in terms of carbon impact reduction.
- Understand :
- The Knowledge Base allows users to understand the subject and quickly familiarize themselves with the best practices for decarbonization. It offers practical guides on regulations and the calculation of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), training webinars, as well as publications from the Vizcab R&D team.
- Explore:
- The Vizcab Observatory allows you to precisely compare the carbon impact and decomposition of a project with more than 1500 referenced buildings, offering a clear vision of market standards in terms of carbon impact.
- In addition, thanks to the INIES Explorer, professionals can compare construction products based on a reliable and scientifically recognized carbon score, the Vizcab Score, thus facilitating the selection of the least polluting materials.
- A carbon study viewing tool (RSEE) to easily identify project performance on key indicators and validate compliance with thresholds.
- Act:
- A limited trial version Excel add-in is available to automate and visualize carbon impact calculations, thus easily integrating the carbon impact of materials into project analysis descriptions. This product is also available in several European countries.
A renewed commitment to sustainability
For Guillaume Lafont, co-founder of Vizcab: "We have ten years to halve the climate impact of construction. Vizcab Campus is fully in line with this challenge. The Vizcab Campus embodies our commitment to democratizing access to carbon data. Our mission is to provide players in the construction industry with the tools they need to improve their skills in calculating carbon impact at all production scales. It allows them to understand regulatory requirements and market expectations while remaining competitive."
For Thomas Jusselme, co-founder of Vizcab: “Vizcab Campus” is a pure product of our vision, namely to capitalize on data to democratize the decarbonization of the construction sector.”
Why a free learning platform?
Faced with an unprecedented environmental challenge, the construction sector, as the largest contributor to global warming, responsible for 37% of global greenhouse gas emissions, finds itself at a crucial turning point.
Embodied carbon—manufacturing, transportation, implementation, maintenance, and end-of-life of materials—represents up to 70% of the emissions of a future square meter over fifty years.
These emissions are tracked within the scope 3 of the CSRD of building stakeholders, highlighting the crucial importance of controlling embodied carbon at all scales, from the component to the entire asset.
With the urgency imposed by the Paris Agreement, the Green Taxonomy, and the European Green Deal, real estate developers, construction companies and real estate investors are directly concerned by the need to steer a decarbonization trajectory to remain competitive, comply with regulations, meet market expectations and contribute to environmental protection.
The Vizcab Campus addresses these challenges by offering a free learning platform that allows users to gain skills on these complex issues. It aims to democratize access to specialized knowledge and practical tools to understand, measure and control the carbon impact of their projects.
By providing free and direct access to this expertise, Vizcab enables construction industry players to improve their skills on new regulations and begin to respond to the environmental challenges of the sector.
Vizcab also offers other even more powerful paid solutions for even more effective carbon control.
