Vinci motorways are equipped with charging stations

Ultra-fast terminals will be installed before the summer crossovers on the A7 north of Valence (Latitude 45 area), on the A62 between Agen and Toulouse (Garonne area), or the Carcassonne Arzens areas on the 'A61.

The operator Allego also announced in February that it had won a call for tenders for four rest areas, on the A83 in Vendée (Brouzils and Chavagnes), on the A10 in Deux-Sèvres (Rouillé Pamproux) and Toulouse South North on the A61.

The French Electra and the Dutch Allego join their competitors in the charging sector Ionity, TotalEnergies, Engie, Fastned, Shell and E-Vadea at Vinci.

The state had required motorway concessionaires to have all their areas equipped before the end of 2022.

All the rest areas of the APRR and AREA networks are now equipped, as required by law, while the rest areas of the Sanef network are 85% equipped and those of Vinci, which manages the main motorway network, 75%.

Vinci confirmed on Monday that all of its areas should be equipped by the end of 2023.

This is to reassure French and foreign motorists who switch to electric and, in addition to frequent recharging at home, would like to make long journeys.

The share of electric cars continued to grow on the French market in 2022, reaching 13% of total registrations, compared to 10% the previous year.
