Vincent Hannecart, new President of the Association of Biosourced Construction Industrialists (AICB)

Its ambition: to extend the process of promoting biosourced materials and contribute to the decarbonization of the building market in order to respond to the many challenges of the environmental emergency.

The biosourced sector represented more than 120 million euros in turnover in 2021, growing by +105% since 2016. Today, 1 in 5 lost attics are insulated with biosourced insulation.

After a 35-year career in the structural and finishing construction materials industry, including 15 years in various management positions at national and international level within the Saint Gobain group, Vincent Hannecart joined the CAVAC group in 2023. Biomaterials as general director within the Vendée cooperative CAVAC.

His election as President of the AICB is part of the process of promoting biosourced materials initiated by his predecessor.

For Vincent Hannecart: “My ambition is to contribute to the decarbonization of the building market in order to respond to the many challenges of the environmental emergency. In this position, I will therefore be keen to actively participate in the promotion of biosourced materials in construction. »

Recently expanded to new biosourced industries (construction with straw and hemp blocks), the AICB today represents the main players in the biosourced sector, which offers a wide variety of materials (wood concrete, hemp, fiber insulation wood, cellulose wadding, recycled cotton, hemp, mixed plant fibers, grass, etc.) with multiple applications (ITI for attic spaces, sloping spaces, walls and floors, ITE for roofs and facades, prefabrication).
