Utherm Sarking Anti-Slide, insulation and installation safety in mountain climates
High-performance, the new range of Utherm Sarking Anti-Slide insulating sheets from Unilin Insulation can be used to insulate roofs from the outside. It is particularly suited to mountain climates (>900 m) and is available in two models:
- Utherm Sarking K Anti-Slide, thermal solution;
- Utherm Sarking K Comfort Anti-Slide, two-material thermo-acoustic solution providing the user with the most complete comfort in the home: thermal, summer and acoustic.
The plates are coated with a non-slip laminated coating designed for a very high grip of the safety shoes in the event of bad weather during their installation. Brown in color, it is also anti-reflective, which offers additional installation comfort to carpenters and roofers since it limits glare, especially in summer.
The small format of the panels (1200 x 1000 mm), in addition to being light and easy to handle, minimizes wind resistance. It is particularly suitable for very sloping or complex-shaped roofs, as well as for additional waterproofing processes required by the mountain climate.
"It's the ideal solution for laying in the mountains!" No slipping and a smaller format for easier handling and more precise cuts. This improves working comfort », testifies Mr. Alexandre Borot, company Borot Frères.
In addition, the plates are very resistant to compression, such as that due to snow loads.
Utherm Sarking K Anti-Slide panels are installed in the mountains on decking with a vapor barrier and mandatory additional waterproofing. For simplified assembly, the tongue-and-groove grid plates fit together. They are laid in staggered rows, parallel to the sewer line, in 1 or 2 beds.
This product range is certified and meets the regulatory requirements in order to benefit from the aid in force, in particular those related to energy renovation.
