Building with hemp and the Saint-Astier training center are offering new training for prescribers
Faced with the increasing demand for hemp-based solutions, and in order to facilitate the design of buildings with this natural material, the association Construire en Chanvre and the lime burner are now offering the new “training in project management, design of hemp structures” intended for architects, project managers, project owners and design offices.
Designed and developed by the “Construire en Chanvre” collective – a leading association for professional rules relating to hemp works, the training is provided over 4 days (28 hours), and is divided into two two-day sessions.
Training specially designed for architects
A true expert recognized for its hydraulic lime-based solutions, SAINT-ASTIER® continues to write the history of lime to meet the challenges of today's and tomorrow's market. Thanks to its QUALIOPI-certified training center, the lime burner does everything possible to pass on its know-how and share its knowledge with new generations.
In addition to the training on “Lime and hemp concretes and mortars”, intended mainly for applicators, the new training entitled “Project management: design of hemp structures” is essential for architects, project managers, project owners and design offices interested in low ecological impact construction projects. This training highlights the undisputed insulating performance of hemp in terms of thermal and sound insulation, as well as its low carbon footprint…
Theoretical and practical teaching for a comprehensive approach
Offered over four days, this new training is organized around two axes: the transmission of knowledge and practical application exercises.
The first, lasting 2 days, allows you to lay the foundations of hemp construction, understand its foundations, learn about professional rules, become familiar with the different requirements of a construction site, and carry out applications to better understand the texture of the material.
As for the second, it is supported over two days and offers professionals the opportunity to produce architectural drawings with the aim of simulating a project with their own constraints (cost control, network installation, protection from bad weather, etc.)
At the end of the 4 days, the architects obtain a Project Management training certificate issued by Construire enChanvre, allowing them to be insured under current practices for hemp construction projects.
The first session was held on May 28 and 29 at the headquarters of the Compagnons du Devoir in Chancelade (24). Frédéric FAUCHER, Head of the SAINT-ASTIER® lime training center and Quentin PICHON, architect, both members of the “Construire en Chanvre” collective, welcomed 10 participants who completed their training during a second session organized on July 9 and 10.
A qualified team offering 30 annual training courses
Today, the SAINT-ASTIER® training center has 7 qualified instructors to provide the 30 annual training courses provided at the brand's training center or directly on the site of a company or organization.
