The town hall of Créhen is now seeing its efforts rewarded by obtaining the "Equivalent Recycled Bottles Certificate" created and issued by Polieco, one of the leading companies in Europe in the manufacture and sale of double-wall corrugated tubes in high-density polyethylene.
Preserving the environment is a priority today. Reasoned consumption of resources, materials and energy, implementation of practices that generate less greenhouse gases, management and recycling of waste… represent major challenges for the years to come.
This awareness is now leading communities to act in favor of the environment. This is particularly the case of the town hall of Créhen, which is committed to an eco-responsible approach aimed at favoring green projects integrating a sustainable development approach.
As part of this work initiated in April 2021, Polieco France supplied tubes made of 100% recycled HDPE from selective sorting by French people. With a low carbon footprint and 100% recyclable, these tubes are also recognized for other advantages and qualities, in particular their resistance, sealing, lightness and longevity (with a 30-year guarantee).
The town hall of CRÉHEN is committed to projects that are more respectful of the environment
For several years now, the municipality has been carrying out numerous structuring actions which testify to a dynamic of sustainable development integrated into all of its public policies with structured approaches and in coherence with the challenges of the territory. The environmental field is increasingly part of a territorial approach to development, beyond an environmental approach relating solely to the regulatory aspect.
With the desire to continue its action in favor of sustainable development, the municipality of Créhen has chosen to support the solution proposed by Polieco France, which is thus part of a global environmental approach.
For Jean-Luc BOURSEUL, head of technical services at the town hall of Créhen: “We are constantly looking for solutions that respect the environment to develop the territory in a sustainable and responsible way. The environmental question is taken into account at the different stages of the project. Several factors made it possible to select the Polieco France tubes offered by Frans Bonhomme, in particular the price and the technical nature of the product. The environmental aspect was decisive. Tubes were therefore the most obvious choice because they met all these criteria. »
The "Recycled Bottles Equivalent Certificate" to demonstrate the commitment of the town hall of CRÉHEN
Always mindful of the preservation of resources and sustainably committed to the production of recycled plastic construction materials, Polieco France has been manufacturing and marketing, for nearly 20 years, tubes made of 100% recycled polyethylene from selective collection. Bottles of milk, shampoo and cans of washing powder are given a second life.
Backed by a partnership of more than 20 years between Paprec and Polieco France, the leader in recycling guarantees the supply of HDPE exclusively from the selective collection of French people for the production of the range of corrugated tubes ECOBOX/FLOWRAIN and drains. ECODREN from Polieco.
Polieco France is now able to issue, at the request of local authorities, town halls, design offices, installation companies, etc., the "Equivalent Certificate for Recycled Bottles".
The latter certifies that the tubes, used in the context of their construction sites, are made of recycled HDPE, only from French selective collection, and makes a link between the quantity of tube installed and the number of recycled HDPE bottles.
For Nicolas VOLLERIN, Technical and Communication Director of Polieco France: "This certificate conveys a message that is both informative - on the purpose of each citizen's actions - and very positive and encouraging for the general public. This concretely means that sorting has an impact and that when HDPE plastic bottles are collected, sorted and recycled, they are not buried or incinerated but have a second life. »
For Jean-Luc BOURSEUL, head of technical services at the town hall of Créhen: “This certificate was presented to an environmental commission where it was favorably received. We are very proud to see that our commitments to sustainable development are being rewarded. This will allow us to communicate with citizens and help change the image of the construction and public works sector. »
