With a few months in advance, Sto has just received the Qualiopi certification (Certificate No. FP 2021 / 0026-0) for the quality of its training in the field of facade (ITE, renovation, cladding) provided in its center in Bezons ( 95).
Located at its head office in Bezons, the Stoent training center supports its partners by providing them with all the practical and theoretical keys to improve their teams' skills.
Qualiopi certification, a guarantee of the quality of training
Obtaining Qualiopi certification was a major challenge since this qualification allows Sto customers to have their training funded by the OPCOs (Skills Operator, a body approved by the State responsible for supporting vocational training). Many training funds to which its clients adhere are already promoting this certification, even before 2022.
To obtain the certification, which is valid for 3 years, the referent of the training center and its teaching team were scrutinized, according to seven criteria:
- Information to the public of the training courses offered
- Precise identification of objectives
- Adaptation to the target groups of services and reception methods
- Adequacy of educational, technical and supervision resources
- Qualification of trainers
- Investment of the service provider in his professional environment
The center was finally audited on site for a day.
A training center boosted by energy renovation
Since 2019, the Sto training center is always full! Just like the strong activity, training requests are very numerous, especially for the single-family home market. It must be said that the external thermal insulation sector benefits from a very buoyant current regulatory context (recovery plan, MaPrimeRénov ', etc.).
However, facade work requires know-how to deliver quality projects, in accordance with the rules of the art. Who says quality pose, says need for training! This subject is all the more topical to deal with the poor workmanship observed in 2020 which resulted in a reduction in aid from MaPrimeRénov 'for exterior thermal insulation work in July 2020. Acquisition and recall good practices are more than ever necessary.
In addition, the RGE qualification, compulsory for carrying out ITE work in order to be able to benefit from State aid, requires, since 2021, training certificates, such as those issued by Sto.
“Our training sessions for May and June are already full, those for July are filling up very quickly and we already have requests for the months of September to November! ", notes Laurent Girardey, responsible for Application Technicians and the Training and Animation Center.
Faced with this sustained activity, Sto decided to strengthen its team with the recruitment of a second designer / trainer. The center will thus be able to open new sessions.
Training programs for 2021/2022
In view of the current health context, the training has been adapted and takes place according to a strict protocol: flow management, social distancing, compulsory masks, limited staff, etc.
- Face-to-face training: ITE school site with thin coating on insulation and ventilated cladding
The flagship training of its program, the “ITE thin coating on insulation worksite”, is given over 2 days. It focuses on learning how to install a thin coating system on insulation according to the rules of the art, up to the application of the finishing coating, including the treatment of singular points (framing window).
Another face-to-face module, practical exercises oblige: the "ITE ventilated cladding school site". At the end of this training, professional trainees will be able to implement a ventilated cladding project with the StoVentec R coating system.
This 14-hour course spread over 2 days combines theory and practice, to properly identify the different elements of a cladding system, to master the stages of a site and to acquire the right gestures to implement the system.
- Mixed face-to-face / digital training: ITE interviews and renovations and facade pathologies and renovation solutions
On the training program "Maintenance and renovations of ITE" from June 2021: understanding of the main causes of damage to thin plaster on insulation, knowledge of professional rules for the maintenance and renovation of systems, 'assimilation of the different processes as well as their implementation. At the end of a ½ day in e-learning and a face-to-face day, professionals (architects, project managers, project owners, and contractors) will know how to apply best practices for renovation projects. 'ITE in compliance with regulations.
A new training course on facade pathologies and diagnostic assistance will also be offered from November 2021. Delivered over ½ day in e-learning and over a day in face-to-face, it is aimed at technicians and engineers of masters of work and design offices, responsible for monitoring facades renovation work, sales, site supervisors and managers. At the end of the training, learners will be able to identify the pathologies of a facade and provide the appropriate solution.
- 100% digital training: fire regulations
In addition to face-to-face training, in November 2020, Sto launched a digital training course: the Fire regulation training (ITE, cladding and renovation). On the program: a reminder of the fundamentals, the recommendation of Sto solutions that comply with fire regulations on masonry and concrete, and the implementation of ITE construction solutions with PSE insulation.
“With a rather theoretical content without the need for practical work, this training lends itself well to the digital format. This takes place in two stages: an e-learning for the assimilation of the prerequisites, followed by two virtual classes of 2 hours spread over two weeks to anchor skills, deliver technical advice and answer questions. We give priority to quizzes, games and activities in order to bring this virtual classroom to life and make the trainees participate as much as possible ”, describes Laurent Girardey.
Educational tools and a dedicated team
The Sto training center is characterized by educational and effective tools, designed to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and know-how:
- professional expertise from trainers who are all facade professionals (site-specific training courses are given by field application technicians; Technical training courses by engineers from the technical department),
- a proven method: practical exercises, interactive quizzes, case studies and concrete applications,
- 280 m² of practical platform on the Bezons site.
By helping to develop the skills of men, companions and managers with its partners, Sto intends to participate in a virtuous circle. Employees recognized for their know-how make customers satisfied and flourish longer within their company.
