As part of the National Convention of the Pôle Habitat of the French Building Federation, Somfy presented the first house equipped with the Somfy air program at the Challenge Pôle Habitat FFB,
Somfy and Avenir Tradition, partners for improving indoor air quality
Since their partnership signed in 2015, Somfy and Avenir Tradition have offered 400 connected homes per year, notably equipped with motorized roller shutters with the new generation of connected motors RS100, a TaHoma box and an RT 2012 pack with consumption sensor and solar captor.
This partnership is now being extended with the Somfy air program launched by Somfy in 2019 to support individuals in improving the quality of indoor air.
While individuals are more and more aware of this recommendation, many do not apply it, for lack of time or for fear of intrusion. Somfy air is a range of concrete solutions so that daily ventilation becomes a simple everyday gesture. At the heart of these solutions, Sliding Air io is an operator for sliding windows that allows effortless opening and closing with fluidity of movement.
The 1st Avenir Tradition house equipped with Somfy air solutions
It was in Calvaire-sur-Mer that the 1st MAT house came out of the ground, equipped with Somfy solutions dedicated to improving indoor air.
The owners Mr. and Mrs. Vettese gave an important place to a healthy interior in their specifications. Avenir Tradition therefore naturally oriented them towards Somfy air solutions.
“Indoor pollution is a real public health issue. We are aware of this and we wanted our house to be equipped with the latest solutions in this area to guarantee us a healthy living space ” explains Mr. Vettese.
This 180 m² house has 2 large sliding CAIB windows, motorized with Sliding air io.
The "air" position allows Mr. and Mrs. Vettese to ventilate with confidence twice a day, as recommended by the WHO: the bay opens a few centimeters and is blocked for safety.
It can also close automatically to avoid any forgetfulness before leaving.
Compatible with the TaHoma home automation box, this automated sliding bay fits perfectly into the ecosystem of connected home equipment.
After a few weeks of use, M. Vettese benefits from everyday simplicity and serenity: “Somfy solutions allow us to benefit from a healthy interior in all serenity, without constraints. We have programmed ventilation several times a day thanks to scenarios: the air is therefore renewed automatically, without our having to think about it. It makes our life easier! During ventilation, the bay remains secure: a malicious person cannot open it from the outside. We can leave in all serenity without fear of having forgotten to close our bays. "
The Somfy air program rewarded twice
Somfy air obtained in October 2020 the “SOLAR IMPULSE EFFICIENT SOLUTION” label, which rewards 1000 efficient and profitable solutions that improve quality of life while respecting the environment.
It has just been rewarded during the FFB Habitat Pole Challenge in the industrial category rewarding the most innovative approaches to the major issues of housing and habitat.
Sliding Air io is available from manufacturers who have integrated it into their sliding windows: CAIB, Kline, soon Meo and other manufacturers will follow in 2021. The automated and connected sliding window, created in partnership with the Liébot group, was awarded at the Innovation Awards at the 2019 Mondial du Bâtiment.
