Healthy housing, major and structuring challenges for society
The energy transition, the digital divide, the aging of the population, diversity, disability, are inseparable components of housing and, a fortiori, at the center of the challenges of the social landlord Antin Résidences, which puts health at the heart of its DNA. , in Ile-de-France. For the WHO*, “poor housing conditions are one of the mechanisms by which social and environmental inequalities translate into inequalities in health, which further impairs the quality of life and well-being” . Housing thus has a triple function, it ensures physical, mental and social health.
“The original raison d'être of a social landlord was born from the hygienist movement and very strong health considerations in the XNUMXth century. Perhaps we forgot it a little today? » explains Laurent LORRILLARD, general manager of Antin Résidences, since October 2021. “A landlord must take care of its inhabitants and there are many human and technical solutions to work on this in practice”

The BELLEVUE residence, an example of health innovation
The BELLEVUE residence, whose construction started 3 years ago, is a health housing laboratory in Île-de-France. 17 accommodations have been designed around essential elements of this concept: through accommodations, long balconies, air sensors, bicycle room brightened up by a colorful fresco, to encourage the use of soft mobility, natural ventilation and light, bright staircases promoting physical activity, revegetation of spaces, adaptation of housing for seniors plus a crèche for babies with physical disabilities on the ground floor and meeting spaces promoting bonding.
For Lionel RONDEAU, Technical Director Arcade-VYV PROMOTION, “Health Housing takes into account the double equation: the way of life of the inhabitants and the act of construction. For example, to take care of indoor air quality, we must take into account the environment that gravitates around our homes. In Paris, the air is particularly polluted and we measure it from the design of the building. We also install sensors to enable us to identify the causes of air degradation, according to the ARS* standard. The choice of materials and the methods of implementation contribute to the durability of the dwellings”.
