The professional integration of young people has progressed less quickly with the crisis

Between January and July, the increase in the employment rate is 3 points, similar for young apprentices and for vocational high school students.

In July 2020, one year after leaving their studies in the summer of 2019, 65% of apprentices have a salaried job in the private sector against 62% in January, the employment rate increasing by one point for BTS to three points for CAP. For vocational high school students, 44% had a salaried job in July against 41% in January.

But, due to the economic crisis, this improvement is less than for the previous generation, released in 2018, at all levels of training.

The overall increase in the employment rate compared to integration at 6 months was then 6 points for apprentices and 8 points for vocational high school students.

For certain groups of specialties, in particular "Secretariat, communication and information", part of the training of which is linked to entertainment, employment rates fell between 6 and 12 months. Conversely, in the specialties "Personal services (health, social)", employment increased more strongly than on average (+ 6 points), in particular for the professional baccalaureate "support, care and services to the person ".
