The professional integration of apprentices and pro high school students has returned to its pre-crisis level

This professional integration has improved significantly compared to their situation in January 2021, with an increase in the employment rate of 8 points for apprentices and 13 points for vocational high school students from CAP to BTS level.

In July 2021, one year after leaving school in the summer of 2020, 69% of apprentices are in salaried employment in the private sector.

For their part, 49% of vocational high school students have a salaried job in the private sector in July 2021, one year after leaving their studies.

This employment rate is 51% for vocational high school students who have obtained their diploma against 40% for non-graduates. The difference is similar (72% versus 60%) among apprentices.

The improvement in integration between 6 and 12 months after leaving school is particularly visible in the sectors which had been affected by strict health measures, and in particular the closure of bars and restaurants between autumn 2020 and spring 2021.

In the "hotel, catering, tourism" specialty, for apprentices as for high school students, employment rates thus increase by around 20 points between January and July 2021.

At all levels of training, employment rates 12 months after leaving the education system reach a level comparable to those of 2018 leavers.
