The Poujoulat group inaugurates BF 70, its largest French log production unit

These three “new generation” plants with an exclusive process were designed by the group to guarantee the production of biofuels of constant quality all year round and thus meet growing market demand.

Because in a decade, everything has changed...

• Heating equipment has gained in performance and design, the most recent appliances no longer tolerate poor quality firewood… and so much the better for air quality!
• The new generations want ready-to-eat products, without having to “make” their firewood on weekends! And there again, this is good news, because “raw” wood, not stripped of the bark and badly dried, is not the best fuel, contrary to the still too widespread idea.

Wood is now positioned as a real fuel, with the added pleasure of flambéing!

A central player in the chimney flue market, which supplies 50% of the 7 million French households, the Poujoulat Group decided, from the start, to invest in removing the main existing obstacles, first and foremost the quality of the fuels.

Its objective: to obtain the quality, volume and availability that are lacking in this still unstructured market.

Poujoulat has thus acquired a complete range of quality wood fuels, certified NF biofuels, sold under the two brands Woodstock® and Crépito®. The Group organized efficient distribution and launched an entirely new product, the high-performance wood log.

With BF 70, Poujoulat is pursuing its strategy of establishing itself in the heart of production regions and consumption basins. The Haute-Saône is renowned for its silvicultural management in regular high forest, which gives very good quality wood, in accordance with the specifications of high-performance log wood.

BF 70 aims to produce 150 cubic meters of logs, 000 m³ of kindling and 20 tons of densified logs per year, making it the group's leading site in terms of capacity.
