Knauf Danoline: technical and aesthetic fundamentals
Knauf Danoline slabs are made from plaster, a natural, durable and robust material, including 30% recycled plaster, backed with an absorbent vegetable fiber veil. They justify a reaction to fire classification A2-s1, d0. They benefit from an A+ indoor air classification certified by the Danish Indoor Climate Labeling, for optimal indoor air quality. Finally, Knauf Danoline slabs are also labeled Excell Zone Verte and have verified FDES.
On the design side, Knauf Danoline explores Danish style in all its forms to offer a collection of tiles with clean, elegant and timeless lines. The almost limitless combinations thanks to the different types of edges, perforations and installation variations available, make it possible to create modular ceilings or wall claddings with a unique look, both in new construction and in renovation, in all types of buildings (shops, school restaurants, etc.). hotels, ERP, etc.).
Focus on the redesign of the Knauf Danoline Standard range for the benefit of the Unity collection
Acoustic comfort without aesthetic compromise; This is the motto of the Knauf research and development approach. Thus, and in order to offer a technically efficient offer, while retaining wide creative possibilities, certain references from the “standard” range of Knauf Danoline have been deleted in favor of the Unity range for the production of removable acoustic ceilings.Standard decors concerned, “Globe”, “Quadril” and “Micro” in size 600*600, are replaced by their equivalence among the 5 decors in the Unity collection (Unity 3, Unity 4, Unity 6, Unity 9, Unity 8/15/ 20). A choice allowing us to offer the best response to market expectations. This also leads to inventory optimization in order to respond more quickly to customer requests, as explained by Emmanuel Blaudez, Ceilings Market Manager; especially since this strategy is also accompanied by price repositioning to always better adapt to the market.
The specificity of the Unity collection lies in the excellent acoustic performance of the tiles and particularly the arrangement of the perforations. These are placed continuously as close as possible to the edges of the slab in order to offer a unique monolithic appearance. Multiple combinations are possible, depending on the different types of edges, perforations or installation methods, bringing a unique result to each project.
Knauf Danoline and its “color collection”: new inspiring perspectives for plaster ceilings
Knauf confirms its dynamic of innovation with Knauf Danoline “Color Collection”. This unique offer allows us to go even further in the aesthetic rendering of perforated plaster slabs from the entire Knauf Danoline range through a wide range of colors (RAL and NCS color charts). Knauf Danoline “Color Collection” allows you to color not only the tiles, but particularly their perforations, thus guaranteeing a perfect aesthetic rendering down to the smallest detail, while maintaining identical acoustic performance (αw up to 0,90). These new references are therefore water-based painted in the factory using an innovative technical process ensuring very high-end painting, including on the interior walls of the perforations.
Knauf Danoline: increasingly efficient solutions to meet the requirements of sensitive premises
In a context where sensitive establishments, particularly health establishments, are increasingly taking a preventive approach to health risks, including controlling air contamination, Knauf announces a better classification of Knauf Iso-Tone Hygiene, its plaster ceiling solution special for sensitive environments, and the new classification of Unity 3, respectively classified ISO 4 and ISO 6 by the AC-SPerhi-Céra-Labo laboratory.
ISO-Tone Hygiene, the high-performance solution for areas with very high infectious risks
Iso-Tone Hygiene slabs are made with over-densified plaster and consist of an exposed face coated with a smooth complex of treated melamine paper (does not promote the fixation of dust or grease) and a back faced with a polyethylene film. They are primarily intended and regularly prescribed for all types of hospital and public health environments, and are also intended for clean rooms, damp rooms (including EB+ type premises) and food environments (industrial kitchens, preparation workshops, cellars, dairies and industrial cheese factories). The latest tests carried out confirm the leadership of the Iso-Tone Hygiene reference in hospital environments:
- Clean room compatibility validated thanks to its new ISO 4 classification;
- Highest class of particle removal kinetics: CP 5;
- Microbiological cleanliness classes M1 and M10 depending on the strains tested;
- Resistance tests on disinfection products used in hospital environments;
- Steam cleanability test;
- Test of resistance to wet friction during cleaning cycles.
Iso-Tone Hygiene tiles will therefore naturally find a place in premises classified as level 4 risk zones such as burn units and premature babies, but also in microbiology laboratories, intensive care and resuscitation premises, sterilization centers or pharmacies.
Unity 3, a new solution for areas with lower requirements
In the same logic of cleanliness requirements, Unity 3 plaster ceilings can now be installed in zone 3 premises, thanks to their AC-SPerhi-Céra-Labo ISO 6 certification, while meeting concentration thresholds. maximum admissible particles (35.200 particles/m3 of air) of their classification. Unity 3 is therefore the choice for a perforated, aesthetic and acoustic plaster ceiling in often austere environments.
Knauf Planner Suite: the digital tool is enriched with the entire Knauf ceiling offering
In its logic of support and services for project managers, architects, design offices and construction economists, Knauf will add, from April 2024, its ceilings offer – Knauf Danoline, but also ceilings in Organic wood wool as well as Knauf Delta non-removable plaster ceilings – to all its interior design solutions already present in the tool. Free, this online service allows the user to choose their partition systems, counter-partitions and now ceilings, to quantify the materials, to write the DCE and to model their project (BIM, Revit, ArchiCAD - plug-in version ).
