In Hauts-de-France and Grand Est on the one hand, through the partnership between HORS SITE Conseil, a French consulting and project management assistance firm specializing in off-site construction processes, and Buüld, Project Management Assistant (AMO), aimed at supporting the development of off-site solutions within these territories.
In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes on the other hand, with a tripartite partnership between HORS SITE Conseil, the HORS SITE Campus, the first French collaborative school for off-site construction and renovation professions, and the Éco-Bâtiment cluster, the objective of which is to strengthen interactions between public project owners and local companies in order to create an ecosystem of innovation in off-site construction.
For Pierric Martin, General Manager of HORS SITE Conseil: « These two partnerships allow the HORS SITE Group to accelerate the development of off-site support solutions on a territorial scale with a central objective of 'Doing' off-site. In a context of unprecedented housing and real estate crisis, our ambition is to position this construction method as a central solution to meet the environmental and economic challenges of the territories. »
Developing off-site solutions in Hauts-de-France and Grand Est with Buüld
Created in 2022 in Hauts-de-France, the Buüld company was born from a deep desire of its manager Jean-François Despinoy to shake up ecosystems around a low-carbon and innovative vision of the construction industry. Assistant to the Project Owner (AMO) on eco-construction operations, Buüld adopts a global approach with the aim of supporting the transformation of reflexes in terms of housing creation via low-carbon real estate development, consulting and the creation of synergies with off-site players.
The partnership with HORS SITE Conseil is part of a shared desire to adapt construction methods to the specificities and maturity of local stakeholders. By connecting to the networks of local authorities and public contracting authorities, this collaboration aims to fully integrate them into the transition to more sustainable and industrialized construction practices. This involves using methods that make it possible to define strategies that integrate this new construction method and, above all, to set up off-site operations quickly and efficiently.
For Jean-François Despinoy: « 'Making sense' is absolutely essential in what we do. Off-site is an exceptional and unprecedented lever to reshuffle the cards and operationally advance the issues of housing and decarbonized industry. This partnership with Hors Site Conseil seemed obvious. We share a vision, values and an objective: to accelerate towards a new real estate paradigm. »
An innovation ecosystem in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes thanks to the Eco-Building cluster
Created in 2006 at the initiative of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, the Éco-Bâtiment cluster is an economic development tool bringing together more than 250 professionals specializing in the energy and environmental performance of buildings.
The objective of this partnership with HORS SITE Conseil and the HORS SITE Campus is to strengthen interactions between public project owners and local companies in order to create an ecosystem of innovation in off-site construction/renovation, while developing skills and structuring local sectors. This initiative makes it possible to effectively connect the needs of contracting authorities with the offering of manufacturers and builders, while integrating the environmental issues specific to the region. This type of partnership could be deployed in 2025 in other regions.
For Marie-Soriya Ao, General Delegate of the Eco-building Cluster: « The objective of this partnership is to structure the regional sector by supporting companies towards cooperation and organization models specific to the off-site construction method. We must also create a network bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, project owners, etc. and structure supply and demand in parallel. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region has all the assets to be a leader in this sector, which contributes to industrialization, innovation, business transformation, job creation, decarbonization, and reuse. »
A clear vision: off-site will be local and decarbonized or it will not be at all
These initiatives mark a strong position taken by the HORS SITE Group: responding to environmental challenges while being part of a dynamic of industrial relocation. By mobilizing territorial partners, it affirms that off-site must be thought of in a logic of proximity, optimization of local resources, and reduction of the carbon impact of projects. This positioning is particularly relevant for communities, social landlords and public contracting authorities, keen to combine ecological transition and territorial economic development. Beyond these structural principles, the HORS SITE Group asserts itself as bringing 'Doing' and 'Know-how' in a field where speeches and principles are not always carried by the transition to action.
With more than 8 pilot projects currently under construction or in assembly, HORS SITE Conseil is now deploying turnkey solutions for public project owners to take action. These projects demonstrate a desire to make and initiate ambitious strategies.
