Sensitive to sustainability issues for a long time, the show will also be the time for the manufacturer to present its actions in favor of more responsible production.
The Millet Group committed to a sustainable world
With the primary mission of contributing to the improvement of housing and the living environment while respecting the environment, the MILLET Group has always implemented the actions necessary for thoughtful and controlled growth.
Fully aware of its industrial responsibility, the Group combines innovation, quality and agility to develop high-performance products and production processes that respect the environment. While taking into account the complete life cycle of raw materials and their responsible management, in particular with the PEFC TM and FSC certifications of wood species.
We can cite among its actions the strategic evolution since 2006 with its facade activity with biosourced wood frames, the development of multi-material joinery or fully removable wood, the recovery since 2008 of end-of-life joinery with an internal sorting and dismantling of all materials resulting in the creation of RU Edition furniture within Atelier M.
A committed stand
The BATIMAT trade show is always an important event for the MILLET Group. More than a showcase for its activity, the company sees it as an opportunity to meet its suppliers, partners and customers, to take the time and discuss with them.
This year, by highlighting its commitment to sustainable development, the Group hopes to convince them that, as links in the same chain, it is possible to all contribute to a circular economy. The whole challenge of this edition of BATIMAT will therefore be for the Group to present the diversity of its know-how in terms of made-to-measure, eco-design, and to explain its vision of “after carpentry”.
The MILLET Group stand, designed with 80% recycled materials, will thus offer:
- Its zero packaging objective
For 20 years, through its driver-ambassadors, the Group has been making its partners aware of the collection of packaging with a unique process of depositing its pallets, but also with the implementation in 2008 of the Pack Recup aimed at recovering screws , blockers and reusable wedges intended for the packaging of future joinery.
- Optimization of its logistics
MILLET Group drivers also participate in the implementation of Eco-Return. The latter collect the used woodwork from the company's customers before conveying it to the M workshop or the recycling centers.
- Atelier M with the creation of RU Edition furniture
A place for dismantling used joinery, the M workshop has marked the MILLET Group's desire since 2022 to give an even greater dimension to its ecological and innovative convictions. The recovered materials are separated, cleaned, sorted and recovered in the classic recycling channels or through the manufacture of furniture: RU Édition. Since its implementation, this singular practice of upcycling has opened up a new alternative for recycling old wooden windows into contemporary furniture.
Through all these steps, the MILLET Group is evolving and getting closer to its objectives.
Through its committed strategic actions, it thinks of the future without fear of questioning itself in order to better build tomorrow.
