Completed in record time and despite significant constraints, this site, costing 7,1 million euros, was delivered on time thanks to the efficiency and involvement of all stakeholders and companies, mostly from the Region.
It is on a site where stands a listed chapel from the XNUMXth century that the Club and its training center were to be established. A presence that conditioned the project designed by Aurélie Raoult, architect in Thonon, in collaboration with the Lyon firm Stéphane Giraud.
This achievement mobilized, around the general contractor Giletto (regional subsidiary of Vinci), many companies, Savoyard and partners of ETG FC for several of them. In close collaboration, the Tuna companies VEKA, Tec'Wind and VMA Fenétrier VEKA thus created, manufactured and then implemented all of the 200 joinery (PVC doors and windows) of the future premises of the Club.
A grand slam led drastically by all the professionals involved in this match against the clock ...

3.200 m2 of buildings built together in record time
The project of the owner of the Football Club ETG FC (Ligue 1) included the construction of a training center of 1.600 m2 spread over four levels, creating 1.200 m2 changing rooms, in an independent building on one level and the rehabilitation of a farmhouse of 400 m2 in press and bodybuilding rooms.
The site was closely followed by the Architects of the Buildings of France (ABF), due to the presence on the ground of the Castle and the XNUMXth century chapel of Saint-Étienne de Blonay, listed in the Inventory of Historical Monuments. It was also important to design a differentiating architecture for the new buildings (shape, color), perfectly clearing the Castle. The changing rooms had to blend harmoniously into the landscape, not visually encroach on the facade and not be visible from the road.
Finally, all of the achievements had to comply with the usual safety rules (fire safety, accessibility), environmental concerns (recovery of water for automatic watering of the grounds, lawn maintenance) and with the 2005 Thermal Regulations. The Veritas office in Annecy monitored the progress of this project.
From the start of the works, in June 2012, a one-year constraint was imposed for their completion. Indeed, the ETG FC Club training center and its forty trainees, previously installed at Publier, had to leave the premises before the summer of 2013 to make way for a project to develop the Conservatory. from the coast and come and settle a few kilometers further on, on the Château de Blonay estate.
To this tight schedule was added the constraint of respecting a budget limited to 7,1 million euros, to which had to comply, among others, Stéphane Leguay, manager of Giletto, General Building Contractor. " During thehe inauguration, Frédéric Thiriez, President of the Professional Football League, congratulated us on the quality of this achievement which generally reaches budgets between 10 and 20 million euros ", specifies the entrepreneur.
Heritage, robustness ... A site and several challenges to take up
Adapting to the deadlines, the budget and the architectural requirements of the project, VEKA, the manufacturer Tec'Wind and the installer VMA Fenétrier VEKA, partners since 1989, worked together on the project to design, manufacture to measure and install on this exceptional site the 200 bays, windows and security doors and PVC exit. “The design was very important, says Marc Defoly, manager of Tec'Wind and VMA Fenétrier VEKA. From façade plans to be strictly observed for reasons ofsensitive environment, we had to design functional joinery, both practical and extremely resistant. "
The robustness of the joinery at the Training Center was indeed imposed by the heavy daily demands envisaged for this type of collective equipment. In parallel, "L'all of the frames were completed in one month, ie a very short time ”, specifies Marc Defoly.

Equipment combining aesthetics and technical performance
VEKA SOFTLINE 70 profiles have been chosen to manufacture joinery, bays, windows but also all security doors and exit doors, in plaxed two-tone. Indeed, on the advice of ABF, an anthracite gray plaxing for the exterior was recommended for the joinery, the interior remaining white.
In collaboration with VEKA's Technical Department, Tec'Wind made to measure the 200 PVC frames, meeting high thermal performance [Uw of 1,1 W / (m2.K)] and matched with very resistant laminated double glazing (SP10) and low emissivity.
The opening of all the bay windows - some exceeding 10 m2 - have also been fitted with galvanized steel reinforcements.
A set of'sports facilities reconciling comfort and quality of the living environment
Cédric Pourprix, in charge of the training center, is particularly satisfied with the rendering and the functionality of the PVC joinery, the charcoal gray color of which punctuates all the facades plastered in beige sandstone. The general aesthetic of the building is thus very successful.
Inaugurated on December 2, 2013, in the presence of Frédéric Thiriez, president of the Professional Football League, this exceptional achievement now hosts the Roses, players of ETG FC, formerly known as the Croix de Savoie, and their young hopes. The thermal performance of joinery has already been tested and appreciated, as has its functionality and ease of maintenance.
The Savoyard companies which have brilliantly taken up this challenge, by mobilizing for the completion of this project, now hope to be selected to participate in the castle renovation project, in order to continue this great collective adventure.
