The Jouplast mobile application is evolving: an essential tool for designing your terrace

JOUPLAST^®, a major player in the terrace pedestal market, has developed a free mobile application for designing a terrace made of slabs, wood or composite. It is the only configurator to provide a complete list of materials (slabs, wooden or composite decking boards, joists, screws, etc.) and JOUPLAST products^® (pedestals, slab plates, side cladding supports, etc.) necessary for carrying out this type of work. Real help for projects, the JOUPLAST mobile application^® received a most positive reception from individuals, professionals and points of sale. In order to always provide more services to its customers and its distribution partners, the JOUPLAST application^® evolved.

Now available in 4 languages ​​(French, Spanish, English and German), the application presents, in its new graphics, a shopping list illustrated with photos of JOUPLAST products^®. It also includes new slab dimensions, 17 in total, new accessories (insulation mat, gripping insulation square) and essential elements for an impeccable and durable finish: 100% invisible fixing system for the slats. Fixego wooden terraces^® and side cover support.

In addition, a code appears at the start of the configuration to automatically find the project saved on the application. This allows you to view it later or share it. Finally, it is always possible to download your project in PDF but also in CSV format, in order to modify it in Excel to integrate additional information or sort data.

The JOUPLAST application^® brings greater autonomy to individuals, by simplifying the estimation of the products necessary for the creation of their terraces, and facilitates the preparatory phase of the construction site for professionals and points of sale.

A multitude of functions

Nomadic and accessible everywhere, the free JOUPLAST application^® offers a multitude of functions to help choose the shape, size and location of the terrace in relation to the home, the materials (slabs, wood or composite slats), configure a slope, integrate elements (planters, swimming pools …), define the type and direction of installation, save the project…

Accessories are also integrated into the application:

• Insulation mats, to be placed under JOUPLAST pedestals^®, to reduce vibrations or impact noise, and compensate for differences in thickness.
• Gripping insulation squares, to be positioned on JOUPLAST slab plates^® installed on the periphery pads, to attenuate possible resonances and improve the grip of the slab.
• The 100% invisible fixing system for FixeGo JOUPLAST wooden decking boards which ensures an impeccable and durable finish. Made up of hand-breakable fixings and cleats (for the start and end of the terrace), the FixeGo kit^® allows you to create a regular space between the slats, without the intervention of traditional screws, thus allowing air to circulate between the slats and the joists. It limits the stagnation of water at the fixing points, which has the effect of increasing the durability of the wooden slats.
• The side cladding support which ensures the finishing of a terrace (slabs or wood) on pedestals and 100% invisible fixing of the plinth thanks to an innovative glue trap system. Positioned on the base of the pedestal and associated with the JOUPLAST slab plate

Stages of the terrace project

The configuration of the terrace project goes through several stages:

• Definition of the type of soil – flat and regular or not flat and/or irregular,
• Basic shape – square, rectangular, L-shaped, semi-circle… with the possibility of adding several terrace spaces of different shapes, slope and height, presence of a swimming pool… The user can also integrate a house, for a rendering even more realistic.
• Choice of covering – slabs, strips, composite strips – dimensions and type of installation.

The benefit of the JOUPLAST application^® also lies in the fact that, for a slab terrace, the user has the possibility of defining the layout point by clicking on the diagram. He can also move it to limit slab cutting. In addition, the calculator adapts the drawing and the shopping list in real time. And, to avoid any errors, the layout point, in the new version of the application, cannot be placed outside the plan.

After guiding the user in defining their project, the free JOUPLAST application^® for iOs Smartphones, tablets or PCs, provides a complete list of shopping necessary for its creation, a 2 D drawing, a 3 D drawing and an installation drawing. The new version is updated automatically (if the option is enabled) or must be reloaded.
