The heritage portal: a tool at the service of heritage project promoters

It is particularly aimed at local elected officials, local authority managers and managers of assets of heritage interest.

Every year, thousands of restoration projects are carried out all over France. The Heritage Portal aims to give those who carry them all the keys to enable them to carry them out successfully. It provides an overview of existing regulations and aid, advice for identifying the right contacts, examples of successful projects, and access to useful resources available on the Internet.

Educational content makes it possible to address the major themes of running a restoration project thanks to practical guides, videos, data and feedback: knowledge of heritage and its public and private actors, aid and financing, constitution of file, mobilization around a collection of donations, communication, promotion project...

Many other partners contribute to the development of its content: the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, particularly under the Small Towns of Tomorrow programme, the National Federation of CAUEs, the association Small Towns of Character, the School of Avignon (training center for the rehabilitation of ancient heritage), the Union Rempart and ActaVista.

With the creation of the "Engaged for Heritage" prize and the Heritage Foundation's program for awarding labels to the "Small towns of tomorrow", the Heritage Portal is the third component carried out within the framework of the partnership concluded in July 2021 between the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities and the Heritage Foundation.
