The Grand Rex unveils its premium room project

With a capacity of 285 seats for conventions and 265 seats for cinema screenings, this new room - which will take place in the current room 2 - will combine extraordinary aesthetics and technique and aims to be the one of the most beautiful cinemas in the world.

For its 90th anniversary, the Grand Rex continues to innovate and unveils its project for a new premium room. Taking place in room 2 with a current capacity of 500 seats, the premium room of the Grand Rex will offer spectators new state-of-the-art equipment and a unique cinema experience. Entirely designed by the ABP Architectes agency, this room will have a new capacity of 285 seats with unique reclining seats, designed for optimal spectator comfort. The room can also completely change its atmosphere and colors depending on the film that will be shown. The Grand Rex will offer seat numbering, which will offer spectators the opportunity to reserve their seats in advance. Finally, a bar located at the back of the room will allow spectators to enjoy high-end drinks and sweets without leaving the room.

Among other notable innovations, the “INFINITE” room at the Grand Rex will be equipped with cutting-edge equipment. It will be the only room in France equipped with a Real-D Ultimate screen, offering greater image depth, a clearer image and much more faithful colors. The room will be equipped with the Dolby Atmos system, a major advancement since surround sound, offering multidimensional sound. This technology allows ultra-precise placement of sound objects anywhere in the room, even above the spectators' heads, to create an immersive soundscape.

A large-scale cinema welcoming 1 million spectators per year and boasting the largest cinema hall in the world, the Grand Rex is famous for its Art Deco architecture with multiple influences and its so-called “atmospheric” room.

The Grand Rex also offers other activities whose offering goes beyond the boundaries of cinemas: shows (Messmer, Devdas...), concerts (Le Soldat Rose - les 15 ans, Vladimir Cosma, Eastwood Symphonic... .), corporate conventions, unique events (Bliss Stories, Les Cueilleurs d'Images, L'Écran Pop...), the leading nightclub in France: Le Rex Club, or even an escape game. ..
