The Government validates the health recommendations proposed by construction companies for the resumption of construction sites

Produced by the Professional Building and Public Works Prevention Organization (OPPBTP), this guide will help to define and consolidate the processes in order to continue the work by ensuring the safety and health of employees.

In this period of Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic, the priority of construction companies is to protect the health of their employees by adopting preventive measures and by encouraging them to take care of their health, their safety and that of those around them.

For professional building and public works organizations, faced with the suddenness and exceptional scale of the current health crisis, the protection of employees is an absolute priority.

The gradual recovery devoted to essential activities and then to all activities depending on the evolution of the health situation and local particularities, requires secure conditions both with regard to companies and employees to ensure their safety and health. and their integrity.

In this spirit, the professional organizations of Building and Public Works have decided to draw up, in conjunction with the OPP-BTP, a guide detailing the satisfactory sanitary conditions and the precise procedures to be adopted, in particular within the framework of social dialogue, for guarantee the health and safety of employees and employers, to enable them to gradually resume activity and restore confidence.

In this context, professional building and public works organizations recommend to companies that apprentices do not intervene on construction sites and workshops. Similarly, it is recommended that special attention be paid to the most vulnerable employees and in particular those with long-term illness.

This guide, validated by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Solidarity and Health, will be distributed to all companies of all sizes in building and public works.
