Despite this change in trend, after several months of record inflows caused by the rise in the rate to 2% on August 1, this month of October remains historically rather good.
By way of comparison, the French had disbursed 2,8 billion in October 2021 and 2,1 billion in 2019. In 2020, a very atypical year with the outbreak of Covid-19, withdrawals had exceeded deposits by only 900 millions of euros.
