The FFB Grand Paris Ile-de-France is in favor of the transition to more sustainable mobility. For several years, it has fully played its part in supporting all entrepreneurs in this direction. The Federation regularly informs its members about new regulations through information notes, files or podcasts and provides a hotline to answer various questions from entrepreneurs. This regular link is also an opportunity to remind them of the financial aid allowing the acquisition of clean vehicles.
The trade union, in direct and permanent contact with construction companies, is therefore a privileged intermediary in supporting professionals in the sector towards clean mobility.
Dialogue with public authorities must continue
However, the FFB Grand Paris IDF alerts the public authorities to the numerous current and future restrictions in a context where the offer of clean mobility solutions is not in line with the needs of companies in the sector (low autonomy, capacity loading ...). For 31% of building professionals in the Greater Paris Metropolis, this inadequate supply is the main obstacle to the transition of their vehicles, even ahead of the price. In addition, more than half of our companies and craftsmen have little knowledge of aid for the purchase of more virtuous vehicles. As a result of these expressed needs, the FFB Grand Paris Ile-de-France regularly asks to be in consultation with the public authorities in order to defend in particular:
- The establishment of a one-stop shop for professionals to improve the readability of aid and its harmonization.
- Harmonization of exemptions on the Parisian and metropolitan ZFE.
- A modification of the calendar or the establishment of a pedagogical period non-verbalization especially for heavy goods vehicles, mainly Crit'air 3, which will be banned from circulation from July 2022.
Building Professionals are prepared to make a firm commitment to a more virtuous model of mobility, provided they have technically and economically viable alternative solutions. The first discussions of this consultation are proving fruitful, in particular in favor of companies severely weakened by the health crisis, which may derogate from the application of the rules of the metropolitan ZFE on Crit'air 4 vehicles, until June 30, 2022. These encouraging first steps will reassure all stakeholders of the need to continue a constructive dialogue.
