The Federation of Elevators unveils the 2020 figures for the profession and the name of its new President

On the occasion of World Mobility and Accessibility Day on April 30, the Federation of Lifts unveils the annual figures for the sector in France, following its General Assembly online. An exceptional event this year, since a new President has been elected, to follow up on current commitments and develop his vision for the Profession.

The year 2020 was marked by a strong mobilization of vertical mobility professionals, in order to guarantee access for all French people to their housing, in collective or individual housing, whatever the context.

2020: a historic year for the Federation, an old lady who celebrated her 100th birthday, in a context of daily mobilization of the whole Profession. A century of history, innovation and commitment, driven by a dynamism that has been confirmed in recent years.

After a positive start to the year, the figures for 2020 stagnated, pushing the sector to be vigilant: first of all on the 6% drop in new equipment due to the significant drop in activity in the construction sector; then on the modernization activity which is unfortunately not progressing although it contributes to the improvement of the safety of the installations and therefore of the users on a daily basis.

Philippe Boué elected new President of the Federation of Lifts
