The Federation of Lifts unveils the 2021 figures for the profession

While the news is marked by the first strong consequences of inflation and shortages, the Federation presented, on the occasion of its Annual General Meeting a few days ago, the report on the activity of professionals in the 'lift.

• A sector which maintains its dynamism but which has to face the recruitment difficulties experienced by many companies;
• The need to invest in the renovation and modernization of the stock, in order to guarantee the safety and access of all French people to their housing, in collective or individual housing;
• The profession's commitment to dialogue with the public authorities to (re)place housing at the center of current and future decisions, with a focus on supporting our fellow citizens in their privileged choice to live and age well in them.

For the past 2-3 years, we have seen a slowdown in the modernization market, and this has real consequences for safety and the daily lives of French people. This is an unavoidable issue, observed on the ground by our professionals, and which deserves strong public action. • 2,57 billion euros in turnover (+ 6% compared to 2020)
• 218 million euros in sales to modernize the existing fleet (- 3% compared to 2020)
• 12 sales of new devices (+600% compared to 0,8)
