Still too much ignored at home, this innovative technology has already won over our German neighbors who easily resort to vacuum insulation.

Why use vacuum insulation? Because vacuum insulation combines 2 major advantages: space savings and better thermal performance.
It is thus possible to save space, since they allow the thickness of the insulation on the walls to be divided by 5, compared to standard insulation of the glass wool type. The use of vacuum insulation thus makes it possible to recover the square meters that are so much sought after in urban areas. They also make it possible to considerably improve the thermal performance of buildings. In fact, vacuum insulation offers high-performance thermal conductivity.
PIV (vacuum insulation panels) or VIP (Vacuum insulation panels) constitute a technological revolution that the CONSTRUIRE design office has decided to develop. With very low thermal conductivity, 6 to 8 times less than the most efficient glass wools, vacuum insulation offers the best thermal performance available.
A first implementation: construction of 2 individual houses in L'Hay-les-Roses
In 2022, the CONSTRUIRE design office will use vacuum insulation for the construction of 2 detached houses in L'Hay-les-Roses (94) where the price per m2 is € 6.000.
The use of vacuum insulation will save 20 m² of living space per house, ie a capital gain of 120.000 €. The higher cost of this insulation (€ 60.000) must be deducted from this sum, which will leave a net gain of € 60.000. Not to mention that these precious square meters thus gained will increase in value over time.
Vacuum insulation has been around for over 20 years. Currently, it is mainly used in medicine for the transport of organs by plane. Axel Sudermann, engineer, founder of the CONSTRUIRE design office, became familiar with the use of the product in the oil industry. By developing its use in the construction industry, the CONSTRUIRE design office wants to make up for the delay in its use in France and promotes innovation in the service of construction.
