"We think that we will open the campus on February 15", he declared in a press conference in the company in particular of Guillaume Poupard, the general director of Anssi, the national agency for the security of the systems of information.
Wanted by Emmanuel Macron, the cyber campus will bring together representatives of cybesecurity companies of all sizes, from start-ups to giants, state services, research institutes such as Inria and specialized schools.
The goal is to create a favorable environment for technological innovation and the influence of the French cyber sector.
In the long term, between 1.600 and 1.700 people will work on the campus, including 30% representing large companies and 25% of the State services (National IT security agency, gendarmerie, police or intelligence services, Comcyber soldiers), according to figures presented by Michel Van Den Berghe.
The space in the tower will be divided between private spaces for the major players and shared spaces for the others. The Anssi in particular will benefit from one of the thirteen floors of the tower, with a workforce of around 80 people, according to Guillaume Poupard.
Non-European companies wishing to have their own premises will have their own floor.
"This is really a point on which we are working today", explained Tuesday Michel Van Den Berghe. "We are trying to see how to bring in major international digital players."
The cyber campus will also have an incubator for start-ups.
The goal is to manage to work on "20 to 30 projects" of young shoots per year, to manage to actually launch ten over the same period, indicated Christophe Dumoulin, who will lead the incubator.
A fund endowed with "8 to 10 million euros" was created to contribute up to 300.000 euros to young shoots, he said.
Several thematic working groups involving several residents of the campus have already started to operate.
These groups work in particular on the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, or on a platform for exchanging information on current attacks, according to the cyber campus.
