New step in the development of Guillaumie Construction Bois
With this takeover, the family business, founded in 1950 in Aixe-sur-Vienne by Raymond Guillaumie and developed by his son Jean-Claude Guillaumie, is entering a new stage in its history on the timber construction market, marked in particular by more of 2.500 buildings and houses made since the origin.
“I am very proud to be part of the history of Guillaumie Construction Bois, at this key moment when the advantages of wood construction are increasingly evident from an economic and environmental point of view. With the support of external investors, whom Guillaumie Construction Bois has just welcomed to its capital, we intend to capitalize on the experience and know-how of the company, with a high quality process, further reinforced by the acquisition a new machining center and a highly qualified workforce, and thus continue the development of Guillaumie Construction Bois.
We have the ambition to become one of the leading independent players in this market in France”, announces the director and main shareholder of the company Fabien Gaumy.
“We welcome this new investment in a dynamic company in the timber industry with significant development potential, alongside an active entrepreneur. This minority stake perfectly illustrates the mission and role of Forinvest in the development of wood resources, local employment and the creation of value in our regions”, said Christian Bouthillon of Forinvest.
“With this new investment in this fine company in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Aquiti Gestion is pursuing its strategy of selective investment in high-quality companies in our region. The timber construction market is structurally buoyant and Guillaumie Construction Bois has all the assets to take full advantage of it, thanks to its modern production tool and a high-quality design office.” said Nicolas Delaunay, director at Aquiti Gestion.
