While the subject of energy dependence is at the heart of the debates in France following the war in Ukraine, the government presented its resilience plan advocating the decarbonization of uses instead of favoring energy efficiency and the thermal insulation of buildings. .
Despite the increase in MaPrimesRénov' aid to promote the installation of new heating systems, energy independence and the fight against climate change must go through a significant and above all structural reduction in electricity consumption in France.
Support for global and efficient insulation would make it possible to reduce the energy needs of buildings and to eliminate France's energy dependence on Russian hydrocarbons over time.
The Groupement du Mur Manteau therefore expects from the government, in addition to the measures encouraging the installation of a heating system, support for External Thermal Insulation Works (ITE). Aid for all households and more particularly the most modest ones has indeed fallen sharply.
Barbara Pompili recently put forward that "the solution [to the current crisis] is not to slow down the ecological transition but to accelerate it". With this in mind, the Coat Wall encourages the government to support the external thermal insulation sector, a strategic sector that creates local jobs that are impossible to relocate.
