Through this partnership, the CCCA-BTP, an expert in work-study pedagogy and an accelerator of innovation in training for construction trades, and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées, through its specialized master's degree in Sustainable Real Estate and Buildings, which trains high-level engineers and develops excellent training and research related to the challenges of the ecological transition, aim to share their vision and join forces on projects and activities to:
- anticipate the evolution of construction industry professions;
- promote the matching of skills to the expectations of companies in the sector;
- act to support work-study programs, which constitute a real springboard for employment and an important issue for the professional sectors of construction and public works;
- emphasize the attractiveness of construction professions.
Strengthening the decompartmentalization of training and skills development courses
The ambition of this partnership is to strengthen the decompartmentalization of training and skills development paths for learners, particularly apprentices, through experiments and concrete projects carried out between training organizations for construction trades and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées. The two partners also affirm their ambition to strengthen access to training for employees and the return to employment of vulnerable groups and to support them in the face of transformations in the construction sector.
Fostering innovation, experimentation and adaptation to construction transitions
The CCCA-BTP and the École nationale des ponts et chaussées, through its specialized master's degree in Sustainable Real Estate and Building, will be able to work on joint studies and shared reflections, to produce publications and prospective approaches on the development of skills associated with the challenges, in particular, of sustainable construction, to jointly conduct experiments and calls for expressions of interest, with complementary and structuring approaches. They agree to prioritize innovation, experimentation, adaptation to the transitions experienced by communities, businesses, young people, employees and job seekers.
Encourage communication between construction apprentices and students
The CCCA-BTP and the Specialized Masters in Sustainable Real Estate and Building will also organize communications, workshops and events for the benefit of training organizations in the construction industry and stakeholders in the construction industry, to promote energy and performance renovation, by integrating digitalization, the circular economy, as well as adapted teaching methods. They will also set up calls for solutions on key issues and challenges to innovate, experiment and disseminate.
Through WinLab', the CCCA-BTP incubator, the two partners will participate in the establishment of an innovative ecosystem, promoting connections between companies and training organizations in the construction industry, in order to exchange with the players in the specialized master's degree in Sustainable Real Estate and Building to develop innovative actions to improve the skills of apprentices.
Training organizations for construction trades, construction companies, in particular apprenticeship masters, and apprentices will have direct access to conferences and workshops offered by the ENPC, jointly with the CCCA-BTP, to the organization of experiments and innovative projects and meetings between apprentices and students of the ENPC, in the form of mentoring for example.
For Christophe Possémé, President of CCCA-BTP: "The CCCA-BTP is delighted with this alliance with the École des Ponts ParisTech, which fits perfectly with its strategic dynamic to promote the decompartmentalization of training and skills development pathways, to strengthen the excellence of practices at all levels of training, while developing bridging logics. Experimenting with and adapting training methods to the major transitions in the sector, in particular energy renovation and decarbonization, is our shared ambition to offer apprentices, companies and training centers a high level of quality and educational innovation in all areas of professional training, in particular apprenticeships."
For Dominique Naert, director of the Specialized Master® in Sustainable Building Real Estate: "I am delighted to see this partnership come to fruition between the CCCA-BTP, a major player in apprenticeships, and the Specialized Masters in Real Estate and Sustainable Buildings at the École nationale des ponts et chaussées. This dialogue between apprentices and engineering students will foster bridges between different areas of knowledge and action for the environmental transition."
