The artCOLOR Skygrey solution by Rheinzink for the Leisure Center on the La Borde site

350 children, from 3 to 14 years old, will be welcomed at the leisure center of the Borde site at Joué Les Tours The old center which dates from the 1970s was demolished to make way, after a year of work, to a new, larger and more modern center. The old building had security concerns and the capacity was reduced to only 120 children

The large 3 m² project won and designed by the Caraty Poupart Lafarge agency includes a large traditional masonry base on the ground floor and upstairs a space called "cabins" which recalls the forest environment of the town, in wooden frame For the envelope, the architects naturally turned to RHEINZINK, for its proposal of aesthetic, quality and ideal solutions for renovation. Thus the surface is covered with artCOLOR Skygrey covering over 500 m² and cladding on 1 m².

The artCOLOR Skygrey has a traditional matt gray appearance obtained by a high-tech treatment allowing the typical vein of zinc to shine through. Associated with composite panels in compressed wood on the colored surfaces and with 45-bay bays, the result captures all the light and gives the ground floor an open aesthetic appearance.
