This new collaboration today confirms the solid reputation of the company which was able to supply 500.000 enameled plates for the construction of the village and respond to the requests of the architects in charge of the project.
In total, 6.000 m² of facades of seven buildings in the sports village were covered with enameled plaques from the company Rairies Montrieux.
A colossal work which will make the Angevine company shine well beyond borders and can be added to its list of prestigious references.
“It’s a great recognition and a source of pride for our company,” rejoices Rémy Montrieux, the CEO of the company. “To satisfy Ms. Anne-Mie Depuydt’s request, we mobilized our research and development department with the help of our suppliers. This is therefore the crowning achievement of years of effort. »
Collaboration
Entrusting this project to the Rairies Montrieux company was an obvious choice for the UAPS architectural agency.
Indeed, although being a large-scale company, capable of supporting large-scale production, Rairies Montrieux has made its artisanal know-how a guarantee of quality.
The company has been developing tailor-made products for years to meet all requests, not only in terms of shape, but also in color development.
In fact, a research and development laboratory on the site is specially dedicated to these studies.
As part of the Athletes' Village project, the company was able to develop three exclusive shades and shapes, triangle and convex shapes, in colors developed on the basis of a specific RAL color chart.
The architects of the project were seduced by the quality of Rairies Montrieux's products but also by the flexibility of the company. They knew how to make very specific shapes in clay and enamels in hundreds of colors.
All the buildings have been designed and thought out to meet the needs of the architects of the Olympic city. Their collaboration extended over two years before finding the exact shapes and shades of enamel desired.
Each building is thus covered on two of its four facades with a terracotta facing whose color, shape, size and finish are unique but respond to each other.
