Testo unveils its new testo 883-2 thermal camera, for energy renovation and thermography of buildings

In order to offer design offices and energy renovation advisors a thermal camera allowing them to obtain a better overview of the buildings on which they are looking for thermal bridges or construction defects, Testo is enriching its testo 883 range with a new camera with a wide-angle lens: testo 883-2.

With its new wide-angle lens (42° x 32°) making the measurement even more precise in a single shot, the new testo 883-2 thermal camera benefits from all the advantages and functions of the testo 883 range:

optimal image quality: infrared resolution of 320 x 240 pixels expandable to 640 x 480 pixels thanks to integrated testo SuperResolution technology;
time saving and intelligent image management thanks to testo SiteRecognition technology combined with IRSoft software. This makes it possible to create markers clearly identifying a measurement location and to ensure the recording and management of thermal images in a completely automated manner.
facilitated creation of professional thermographic reports

Thanks to the touch screen which simplifies access to the menu and the authoring tool of the intuitive testo IRSoft software, professional reports are created quickly and easily. The infrared and real images are displayed simultaneously on the screen upon analysis and are automatically added to it. Different models are available (PDF or RTF format to choose from), both for short and quick documentation and for detailed reports. They include all relevant information about the location and measurement tasks, as well as the analysis results.

The software's report editor facilitates the generation of personalized templates for individual reports.

Automatic contrast adjustment for comparable thermal images

During building thermography, images of the same object can differ depending on the interior and exterior temperatures. With testo ScaleAssist technology, automatic contrast adjustment prevents misinterpretation. In addition, the “humidity” mode helps visualize the risk of mold in the thermal image with the colors of the traffic light.
