"From January 1, the Operat platform will open its functionalities to allow you to create user accounts, enter the characteristics of your tertiary buildings, and report consumption data for 2021 and 2020, manually or in bulk", indicates the press release. .

The ministry specifies that 2022 "will be a learning year for tertiary taxable persons who will be able from January to familiarize themselves with the platform by building their course step by step".

"As a taxable person, you will thus have until September 30, 2022 to fill in the data relating to your assets and your energy consumption for 2020 and 2021 in the platform. You will be able to make your declarations gradually, by going back when necessary to clarify or correct certain elements ", it is specified.

Due to the health crisis, this deadline - initially September 2021 - for the first declarations of energy consumption in buildings has been postponed by one year.

"The postponement of consumption for 2020 and 2021 will not generate any 'Eco Energy Tertiary' rating in order to take into account the activities impacted by the health crisis and leave all the time for full ownership of the device," said the ministry.
