Temponox, the new stainless steel piping system from Viega

The area of ​​application of the "Temponox" system - heating/cooling - is recognizable at first glance by the two brown lines on the pipes, the corresponding dots and the well-known "non-potable water" logos on the crimped ends of the fittings. In the daily hustle and bustle of construction sites, these markings avoid confusion with Viega's stainless steel piping systems for potable water installation.

Exemplary corrosion resistance

Viega's "Temponox" range is an excellent alternative for quality heating and cooling installations in a demanding environment. The stainless steel tubes with their matching press fittings not only ensure a high-quality appearance, but also guarantee longevity. With "Temponox", there is no risk of corrosion, even when the humidity directly touches the surface of the pipe. This situation often occurs when radiator fittings are not properly protected by the floor or due to accidental damage during construction. Protection against corrosion, required in cooling installations, is therefore no longer necessary with the “Temponox” system.

A complete and attractive system

"Temponox" is presented as a complete system consisting of pipes and fittings in sizes from 15 to 108 mm available from specialist wholesalers. In addition, the press fitting has been tested by TÜV Rheinland. In addition to items such as bends, T-pieces, sleeves, fittings and flanges, all essential installation components for heating and cooling systems are available. Other components will follow soon.

Press fittings are factory fitted with EPDM seals. For even higher requirements, it is very easy to replace them with FKM seals. These are required for the connection lines of vacuum tube collectors.

“Temponox” press fittings are compatible with the well-known Viega Pressgun 6 press machines and their corresponding jaws. Specialist craftsmen can therefore use their existing tooling for the high-quality stainless steel piping system.
