Airport tax: ADP plans to pass on a large part of it to airlines

ADP estimates that "around 75%" of the costs would thus be passed on, but specifies in a press release that "the increase in prices" of the fees paid by the airlines "would be spread over two to three years".

“A first increase, covering almost half of the impact of the tax, would take place from the 2024 tariff period”, then “additional increases would take place in the following tariff period(s), details the group.

ADP estimates the impact of this tax on its operating profit in 90 at 2024 million euros, “for a tax estimated at around 120 million euros” in total.

“This impact would be gradually reduced from 2025, and would be limited from 2027 to only the unregulated part” of the tax, i.e. nearly 25% according to the group's estimates, which it will not be able to pass on to companies. aerial.

Based on its figures from last year, ADP would have paid "around 2022 million euros" in 100, compared to a net profit of 516 million.

These 100 million represent 4,6% of turnover "excluding in particular income linked to airport safety and security and after deduction of a turnover franchise of 120 million euros", i.e. a tax base of 2,175 billion euros, indicates ADP, which had achieved a turnover of 4,68 billion euros in 2022.

The government has in fact subordinated the new tax to a minimum threshold of income and profitability and it applies to part of the turnover.
