The Minister in charge of the City, Nadia HAI, received from the President of the Social Union for Housing (USH), Emmanuelle COSSE, the 2017-2019 triennial report on the valuation of the property tax abatement on properties buildings (TFPB) from which social landlords benefit for their old social stock.
This system, created in 2001, makes it possible to finance actions aimed at improving the living environment of the inhabitants of priority districts of the city policy: better maintenance of buildings and common spaces, actions for daily tranquility and social cohesion, strengthening of human presence and citizen participation. Each year, more than 160 million euros are invested in this way, which makes it one of the major pillars of city policy.
Since 2015, a national framework signed between the ministry in charge of the City, several associations of elected officials and the Social Union for the Habitat guides these actions decided locally in a partnership way by social landlords, local authorities and the State.
During this meeting, the Minister exchanged with the President of the USH on the need to change this framework in order to take into account the lessons of the first years of its implementation and adapt it to new challenges. , especially in the context of the health and social crisis. They agreed to set up a working group for this purpose.
