living sobriety
The latest STUDIOS project in interior architecture, developed for Les Résidences Yvelines-Essonne, advocates a return to the fundamentals that create the personality and balance of places.
In the spirit of the corporate culture of the ESH, the architects have developed a sober and efficient style. The spaces are activated through simple but very neat details, in the fittings, materials and choice of colors.
This is evidenced by the remarkable curved-looking reception desk, which is adorned with thin slats of wood with a rhythmic score. From the outset, the tone is set to discover these subtle touches here and there deposited in the different spaces. The set, which is erected on 5 floors, deploys a hushed style, with a timeless character. The atmosphere is warm and soothing, conducive to well-being and exchanges.
On the floors, the open platforms offer great fluidity in the user experience. The architects wanted to break the coldness of traditionally juxtaposed offices to create relief by composing, from a diagonal, the movement of work areas assembled into dynamic islands.
Multiple collaboration spaces enrich the productivity zones. They are sometimes playful like the "circus" with recomposed wooden bleachers and colored cubes. Or inspired by hotel lobbies with vintage armchairs and bar chairs facing large bay windows. The cafeteria invites calm in a “living room” spirit. On the top floor, the terrace accessible to all offers an unobstructed 360 view, with comfortable seats to linger on.
The interior layout plays the card of simplicity. The furniture, which favors raw materials such as wood, is enhanced with warm and soothing colors that come alive on the walls and the fabrics of the armchairs.
For Hidékazu Moritani, Associate Architect at STUDIOS Architecture: “The role of the architect is in the detail. The efficiency of materials worked with finesse, and the coherence of the fittings sign the timelessness of a place. Through this project, we propose a return to living and luminous sobriety, where simple choices create balance and harmony. »
