Stradal launches the Up-Flo Filter, an ultra-efficient solution for treating runoff water pollution

In 2019, Stradal partnered with Hydro International, a global specialist in pollution treatment, to design and manufacture First Defense®, the first solution for treating water pollution by hydrodynamic decantation. At the start of 2023, Stradal launched a new generation of hydrodynamic decanters, the DDSelect.

To complete its offer, Stradal now offers the Up-FloFilter, a unique device which, thanks to innovative filtration technology, targets and captures the most difficult pollution to intercept, thus ensuring controlled discharge of runoff water towards the natural environment.

With this range, Stradal now covers most of the needs in terms of urban water depollution.

Exceptional performance, even on the most elusive pollutants

The Up-FloFilter combines 3 sequential treatment processes, sedimentation, screening and filtration by specific media.

Validated by dozens of independent certifications, the Up-FloFilter filtration system offers 80% efficiency on MES with a median size of 22 microns (nutrients, heavy metals, phytosanitary products, pesticides, hydrocarbons, etc.) and more than 70% effectiveness on heavy metals commonly found in runoff water.

The complementary decantation system effectively eliminates coarse pollutants, including detritus and leaf debris.

The Up-FloFilter is therefore particularly suitable for the most sensitive activity areas such as industrial sites, ICPE (installations classified for environmental protection), fairing areas, etc.

Low-carbon concrete, a high-performance material that significantly reduces the CO2 impact of concrete

The Up-Flo Filter and its pre-installed internal components are integrated into a high-performance low-carbon concrete envelope which allows a 50% reduction in the ecological footprint compared to conventional concrete.

In addition, it is 100% recyclable, and comes from a local industry and local materials.

It installs as quickly as a standard manhole. To facilitate its integration and best adapt to the environment and needs, the Up-Flo Filter system adapts:

• the diameter and nature of the pipes
• at the desired height of the structure (position of filters and pipes)
• at the expected runoff treatment rate
• at flood peaks during significant rainy episodes.

The UP-FLO Filter will be presented on Stradal stand H6-F044 at Pollutec which will take place from October 10 to 13 at Lyon Eurexpo.
