The manufacturing and quality control are so rigorous that the polystyrene with yellow balls was very quickly adopted by the professionals of the facade. To meet the expectations of its customers in search of productivity and sustainable development, Sto is today enriching its offer with new possibilities and new services.
A quality of PSE panels signed Sto
The quality of the insulation plays a key role in that of the ETI system. “Watchmaker precision”: this is how Sto characterizes the manufacturing and control processes for its insulating panels in white expanded polystyrene (Sto-Panel Polystyrene PS15SE) and graphite (Sto-Panel Insulating Top31).
Manufactured on an ultra modern site, located in Amilly, near Montargis (45), they combine very high cutting precision, thanks to a system of hot wires with pendulum vibrations, with excellent thermal performance (λD = 0,031 W / ( m * K) for Top31 graphite polystyrene and λD = 0,038 W / (m * K) for white PS15SE polystyrene) thanks to InnoPearls® technology. These patented yellow balls, very easy to recognize, play the role of tracer to identify the Sto quality. The insulating panels comply with standard EN 13163 and EN 13501-1 (fire classification E). The manufacture of the panel allows Sto to master all stages of production and quality control.
Sto's PSE panels are recognized by professionals for their surface quality, their cohesion, their squareness and their dimensional stability. These advantages save precious time on site compared to other less regular panels on the market, which require additional labor costs for setting and sanding.
NEW: no need for UV protection nets on scaffolding to protect the Top31 Sto-Panel before plastering
In accordance with the note from the Specialized Group n ° 7 announcing the next modification of the technical specifications (CPT 3035-V3), insulating panels in expanded polystyrene graphite Sto-Panel Top31 no longer require the implementation of a protective tarpaulin specific scaffolding that does not allow more than 30% of the solar energy to pass through.
An interesting advantage for installation companies which will allow them to save time, maneuverability, economy, comfort and speed during installation on construction sites.
NEW: Quick bonding of EPS panels using the new Sto-Turbofix Mini adhesive
The latest innovation from Sto, Sto-Turbofix Mini is an expansive polyurethane foam designed to facilitate and accelerate bonding of the StoTherm Vario ITE system with thermal insulation made of polystyrene from Sto InnoPearls technology.
Its advantages are multiple: no preparation time, good adhesion only 2 hours after installation on almost all substrates, a compact format, versatile use (it is also suitable for small surfaces, framing and repairs), no daily cleaning of tools and machines.
NEW: A service to recover and recover PES waste for cleaner and environment-friendly sites
As the French market leader for ITE, Sto aims to be part of an eco-circular dimension. The first step is to sign a recycling agreement in 2020 with a partner.
Sto is now resuming falls from construction sites emanating from its EPS insulation products.
As soon as its products are sold, this collection service is offered to customers. Clean scraps sorted by the customer are removed to be forwarded to the nearest approved reprocessing site. The ITE scraps are then revalued to become new raw materials for the manufacture of other products such as, for example, acoustic tiles or light concrete.
