Whether it's generating new ideas, improving processes, enriching offers, simplifying operating methods or contributing to a better quality of life at work, everywhere within SPIE France, ideas connect and talents are recognized. Innovation is part of the daily life of the teams. This state of mind unites all employees, those on construction sites as well as those in offices. To promote their initiatives and strengthen this entrepreneurial culture, SPIE France launched the first edition of the Challenge Innovation & Best Practices competition in 2020.
Of the 60 experiments presented by employees, 28 were selected to compete in the SPIE France Challenge.
9 were awarded at the end of a selection process which included the votes of employees on the Sioux innovation platform, as well as that of a multi-subsidiary jury made up of the various departments and the “Innovation” sector of SPIE France.
- Good Practice Award - BAES Project (Autonomous Safety Lighting Blocks). Alain Herbin and Bruno Agostini from SPIE Nucléaire were rewarded for a clever and economical idea for the maintenance of autonomous safety lighting units in asbestos nuclear environments, a process implemented with one of the subsidiary's customers and already duplicated on other applications.
- “Copy is Win” Prize - RPA Project. Sébastien Bouillon and Julie Azzola, from the Industry division of SPIE Industrie & Tertiaire, came to the aid of maintenance operators whose daily life is sometimes undermined by paperwork and reports, and made it possible to eliminate the multiple manual entries between the CMMS[1] contracts and customer information systems.
- Digital transformation award - Digital Hub Project. Daniel Beaubouchez, Jean Pierre Viandaz and Vincent Dubearnes stood out for the project, which digitizes forms and processes and streamlines exchanges. This innovation benefits all SPIE CityNetworks employees and enables better use of data, serving the safety of employees, customers and the overall organization.
- Innovation Award for Personal Safety - Sock Ball Project. Jean-Yves Saint-Dizier, Géraldine Durieux, and Gilles Frémiot, from SPIE CityNetworks, have developed a new system for the safety of work at height.
- Digital Trust Award - ValuOty Project. Carole Bonnafous, Karine Engrand, Pascal Castagné and Laurent Maille, from SPIE ICS were awarded for ValuOty, a service offering around data management and data science which makes it possible to exploit and secure data to share its value with trades. ValuOty provides customers with industrialized services that meet the challenges of quality of life at work, energy efficiency and reduction of maintenance costs in cities, industry and smart buildings.
- Increased employee price - BIM project and mixed reality. Anna Truong from the Tertiary division of SPIE Industrie & Tertiaire, won the prize for the project which aims to export the BIM models of the design offices, so that they better serve the site teams thanks to mixed reality. The approach was tested in 2020 on several projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Field process optimization prize - Aqua Project. Guillaume Femenia from the Tertiary division of SPIE Industrie & Tertiaire, is the winner for his solution in the treatment of hydraulic networks. Entirely designed in-house, this economical and secure solution has been evaluated, tested and approved during work carried out on large-scale office floors.
- Predictive service price - Industrial predictive maintenance project. Jérôme Morisson and Alain Lagreze stood out for their platform dedicated to Industry 4.0. This platform combines industrial processes, expertise and data, and has already proven itself in the predictive maintenance of gas compressors.
- Reinvented customer experience award - Green @ work project. Imane Benchenaa, Eric Lefèvre and Daniel Berger were awarded for their prototype which creates a bridge between emotions and technical data, in order to manage the quality of life at work. A doubly rewarded innovation since it was also distinguished during Innovation Day 2019, and which enriches the digital solution SMART FM360 °[2].
