Knauf deploys 3 systems to support project managers, thermal design offices and companies in their choice of insulation or interior design systems compatible with the 2025 thresholds of RE 2020 and eco-designed projects.
First stones in the work, two case studies, one in an individual house, the other in collective housing put online on the knauf.fr website. Through these two studies, the professional has concrete and quantified examples for the optimization and decarbonization of buildings.
For the case of collective housing, Knauf based itself on a study signed by Tribu Energie, in order to develop a current RE2020 project to pass the 2025 thresholds. Plasterboard partitions vs concrete veil, insulation of slab undersides , or roof terraces, Knauf responses actively participate in the transformation of this building into a project of tomorrow, with a reduced carbon footprint. This, and it is important to emphasize this, without technical or financial overbidding.
Concerning the insulation of low floors in individual houses, Knauf details a comparison of constructive solutions (polystyrene interjoists, with or without breakers, insulation under screed, insulation of partitions, concrete interjoists), also including the linear loss values of the floor. Knauf also evaluates criteria such as the global warming index, the supplied-installed cost or even the recyclability of products. This comparison highlights the least expensive responses, presenting the best carbon impacts or even displaying the best recyclability.
Knauf has also developed a dedicated tool for BET and CM specialists: “The technical guide for interjoist solutions and thermal breakers” which aims to optimize joist floors. This edition, online on the knauf.fr website (documentation and guides), includes all Knauf flooring solutions for individual homes in order to optimize PSI values according to the type of masonry, joists or floor level.
Second device, complete transparency on carbon data. Knauf offers easy access to the carbon data of its insulation, now available on the product sheets on the website, in the online insulation selection guide or even in the technical library containing standard descriptions of the works. Let us also remember that Knauf already had some 150 FDES available on knauf.fr and on the Inies database.
Third brick in the building, the Karibati label “Biosourced Product – French Industry” for certain references of insulating panels for the underside of Knauf Fibra slabs as well as for Organic ceiling tiles, the only products in their category in France to be justified of this label. Another solution labeled Karibati “biosourced product”, the ThermaSoft® natura cotton/linen/jute interior insulation range with a + rating, distinguishing it as insulation incorporating the highest content of biosourced materials.
